Defense lost this game

LOL. Defense held Aaron Rodgers to 24 points. Can’t ask for much better than that.

I guess we don’t plan on beating Atlanta or New Orleans this year because you can almost guarantee they are going to score some points.

In all fairness, the Packers are only averaging 25 per game this year.  Our defense is averaging giving up 25.3 points per game.  Thus, holding them to 24 points is basically average - the expected outcome.  Our defense and their offense held serve according to season averages.

Our offense is averaging 25 points per game.  Their defense averages surrendering 20.5 per game.  In this case, our offense underperformed on season averages and their defense overperformed.

These are the facts.  Yes, we got gashed in the run.  Nothing new.  But our offense failed to meet it's season average for points, and we lost.  Yes, our offense looked really good at times, but our red zone offense has been horrific this year and yesterday was no different.

Three of our four second half drives made it to the red zone, and we came up with a whopping 6 points total.  That's your problem right there.

I'm so pissed off.  Did you hear the announcers say that Panthers D has allowed MORE 10 yard plus chunk plays defending the run than any other NFL defense!!!  Ugh!!!!!!
