This fan base has absolutely checked out of this season in a way I haven't seen since 2010

Dick LeBeau is one of the most well-respected names in NFL history. A bona fide defensive genius who proved his mettle over a very long, successful career.

Keeping that in mind, look up his record as a head coach.

Interesting point.

What I wonder is who can Tepper hire that is better than Riverboat?

When I see guys like Gase and Kitchens in the top job it makes me think there's not an abundance of great head coaching material available out there in the open marketplace.

I feel like the NFL is one of the most visible places you can actually see the Peter Principle in action.

It makes me think it's impossible to discern who will be a good head coach and who will not based just on their prior work as a cordinator. See the post I just made.

Interesting observation.

So for every 10 coordinators who gets the top-job for the first time I wonder how many turn out to be top head coaches?  Seems like it would be a very low %.

What I wonder is what are the odds of hiring someone who is actually better than Rivera?
