Bring on the Saints and Drew Brees' mole

Our group of RBs aren't that great yet our total rushing game is superior to that of the Panthers. Why is that? Our o-line and Brees, our interior o-line is manhandling people, that's where 55% of our runs go and we're averaging one of the highest YPCs in the league up the gut, the second reason is Brees. He opens up the run game.

You are forgetting the fact that we have Jake Delhomme, who turns the ball over a bunch of times a game (exception: today)

Obviously, him turning the ball over that many times means that GASP, the RB's can't run when the opposing teams offense is on the field, and when they score, that means we have to play from behind, which means we throw, which means more turnovers, which mean we get less time on the field.

Now, the saints have drew brees, a top 3 QB, a dominating interior o-line, and have the pleasure of running down the clock when they are ahead. Ask roger craig, thats were he got most of his yards in his career, he had a dominating passing game, and when they were ahead by a bunch of points, he would just run run run. OBVIOUSLY the RB's will look better than they are with this.

It's funny how you guys went to 'BURN IT DOWN' mode to oh sh*t we're going to beat the best team in the league. Laughable. You guys will make this beadown that much sweeter, as fans of the Lions, Eagles, Bills, Jets, Giants, and Fins have.

Yes, everyone is predicting we'll beat the saints.

I just knew someone would make such an assanine post. We still have a great deal to prove and both statistically and practically we do not come close to measuring up to the Saints. Honestly all that matters to me is that we can be proud of our team's performance win or lose, but at least after today's win I actually have some hope for a victory...It is a nice feeling.

Guys, let's not get ahead of ourselves here. The win today was awesome, and we may be seeing this team start to turn things around, but NO is absolutely trashing top teams. To come in here and guarantee that we will beat them is just foolish. I hope we win--we tend to play up to the competition, we do well when we are the underdog, and the fact that this is a division game makes our differences in records a lot less relevant, but it's going to take a hell of a game in all phases to beat the Saints.

With that said, anyone who thinks the Saints have a better running core than us needs to lay off the pipe.

I figured I would come on here and find the Panthers are now headed to the Superbowl after one win against a zombie AZ squad. Climb up to .500 and then start beating your chest.

also, to anyone who thinks we can beat the saints, kudos. you may have no touch with reality, but you support your team, so kudos.

I have two opinions currently on the upcoming New Orleans game:

1.) We are currently in posession of a truly top caliber pass defense, and no one can honestly chalk that up to playing scrub teams anymore. And given that NO lives and dies with their passig game, we can make them try to beat us with their run game (they can't). Whether we do that successfully or not remains to be seen.

2.) In divisional games, you can toss common sense right out the window. Improbable things happen when two divisional teams play. Just because the Saints look like world beaters, doesn't mean they will play like it when emotions and copious amounts of game film come into play.

I didn't know 'barely' was extended to 20 points. Good to know though.

And nearly 50% of the Dolphins rushing total came on one rushing play. Not really the dominant rushing peformance you are trying to convey, especially since they could not keep Brees off of the field.

Buffalo beat you a week ago

They clearly did not play better. We had them beat in control and yardage but them fumblitis/givitupalot was contagious that day. The only thing/person that kept us from scoring was Jake. We took him out of the equation today.
