At least Mister Scot can voucher for long tenured employee of the top franchise who's been respected and sought after. Maybe he can put that on his resume now.

Because being a position coach, scout, and director of personnel for over a decade he might have been faking it.

Kinda like how a guy being a GM for 14 years must mean he's super qualified?

He asked my opinion. I gave it. I get how that might be an easy thing to have fly over your head, but hey...

Then if it doesn’t happen, it doesn’t happen.  If we can pull it off, then why not try it?  My hypothetical had nothing to do with if it’ll actually happen.  I’m just saying if we had that many great minds in the building, then it’s worth a shot
