What numbers does Bridgewater have to produce for us not to draft a QB next year??

All stats aren't created equal too. If TB has good stats but most of them come in garbage time while we're getting blown out against prevent defenses then that's a lot different than putting up good stats in competitive games.

Thank you good point.. Most of these numbers do have to happen in competitive game times.. But if he is losing alot of shootouts .. What individual numbers changes your mind on him..

You thinking this back up is putting up those numbers are dumb as fug!! This is the bullshit fantasy that got us as a bottom 10 team for the last few years. The NFL is all about franchise QBs: Teddy isnt one of them.

I don't know.. IMO probably not.. But this is a fuging hypothetical question... Just like most of the question on this board.. Have you not been to a football forum before???

I don't think there's a hard line in the sand.  I think it's more about what our overall offense looks like with him running it.

Cam also was a #1 draft pick the year prior and at the time just put up the best statistical season for a rookie QB in NFL history...they are not the same. Teddy is a 27 year old JAG at best at this point in his career. We don't even know if HE can play a full season on that bad knee yet.

Reread what I said. Where in the draft would we be picking with a 6-10 record next season? More than likely 8 or lower. Even if Teddy has a good season if we are picking top 3 we will not pass on a Qb.

You miss the whole point of the thread and let your basises show.. Good job buddy..

Okay you don't want to go by hard numbers..

Cool..

He engineers a top 8 offense we still have a losing season.. 4 to 6 wins and a top 5 pick.. Do you still try to get a QB next offseason??

Does that work for you??

Teddy has not played at least 14 games or more in a single season since his injury. Bias or not it's the truth. Even if he has a good season for "Teddy Bridgewater" if we are picking top 3 we will draft a Qb. We won't be picking at the top of the 2021 draft if Teddy has a Mahomes esque season which absofuginglutely will not happen

If we're in competitive games, sure. If it's garbage time stats, nope.

We might as well start discussing what we do at pass rusher when Stephen Weatherly leads the NFL in sacks and what we do at WR when Pharoh Cooper puts up Julio Jones numbers.

7-9 would have you drafting somewhere between 11th and 16th this year. Which franchise QB prospect would you be looking at?

And those above stats are a lot different than the stats you previously proposed.

Seems to be some significant goalpost moving going on here. I don't get why people start a thread to start a conversation then get fighting mad at anyone who doesn't agree with their ridiculous concept such as Teddy Bridgewater putting up Mahomes numbers. LOL!

If you can't read sarcasm because the opinion was so stupid.. Then that's your fuging problem... I gave rational numbers before the dumbass opinions started rolling in... 25+ 10ints  for a 5-11 team isn't impossible or unrealistic...

You just got mad because people disagreed with your opinion based on hypothetical scenarios. Your "rational numbers" include TB doubling his best season's TD total, by the way.

Panthers are not drafting a quarterback in 2021.  If you wanted to tank the year you'd spend $14m or less.  That's clearly not the goal.  You also don't handpick a quarterback like the Panthers did on Joe Brady's recommendation if u wanted to tank.  I know Panther fans aren't familiar with Teddy, but step one is accepting he's your guy now.

It really depends on so much.  But i'd say 3500 yds 20 TDs 10 INT.  but he's not going to be measured based on surface stats.  Also factor in if the offense is working behind CMC or whoever, but the defense is giving up points that's going to hit the W column in a big way.

Really that's your analogy??  You do know the kid was a Rookie of the year right?? I don't think he's great but again "I COULD BE PROVEN WRONG" ... It's not that hard to believe that a 1st round drafted QB could develop into a franchise QB in the right situation...

You probably didn't think Lamar Jackson would be poo after last year... And 40 tds later you would be wrong...

So before you let your overly weird football scouting confidence get the best of you... You might want to pump your brakes...

I'd suggest taking your own advice. You've thrown out some absurd hypothetical stats for a guy who has never thrown for more than 14 TDs in a season.
