Which Bears TE should we target or not?

History repeating itself are we going to get another bears TE?   The Bears have a ridiculous amount of depth at TE

Or should we be looking at young UDFA talent? probably a little of both

  Just like Olsen the bears have been under-utilizing the position...but some reason have 10 too many of them.

 

edit: I didn't realize Tre Burton walked and signed with Indy and they still have a million TE's

I'd love to see Tre Burton here.  Just like Olsen the bears have been under-utilizing the position...but some reason have 10 too many of them.

This is not the draft to be looking for a hidden gem in the TE class.  I have been a strong advocate of a day 1 or day 2 TE since 2016, well except for this year.  Extremely weak class and needing an upgrade as badly as we did, I was fine skipping TE this year.  We didn't even target the top UDFAs.   

That said, maybe we can do a player-for-player swap for a Bears TE.  Honestly I would have to get a list before getting to interested and I doubt it would be for any of their top 3 on the depth chart.

Yeah, Shaheen is about the only one.  Saubert possibly another.  He was on the Falcons though, so he's tainted.   The back end of their TE depth chart are JAGS and honestly have no idea why they have that many.

Hanyes for either Shaheen or Saubert straight up?
