Panthers alumni answer questions about Cam Newton

Icege

Am I the only person who thinks it's weird that even though Cam played here for quite a few years, Joe Person asks 3 alumni who played with him extensively, 3 who NEVER played with him, and one guy (Gross) who played with him his first few years but retired after and has little inside perspective on Cam's time as locker room leader and vet. No offense to Wesley Walls, Moose or Frank Garcia, but I don't consider their comments on this topic super relevant.

"In a word, please tell us what a team you once played for will be like now that a player you never played with is gone."

Did you read ? I said playoff win percentage

Peyton Manning has more playoff losses than in player in NFL history. He has NINE one and dones. Is Cam a better QB than Peyton. Or, just maybe ITS A TEAM SPORT. How about Marino. Is Cam better than him? Cam has a better playoff record than him. Again I ask what individual passing stats Cam has better than any of those guys. You guys keep coming up short. Next you will be saying the concessions stands  poison Cam during the game so he couldn't perform. Its just weak the arguments you guys continue to make.

You are making stuff up. How many back to back winning seasons does he have? And I ask you what INDIVIDUAL stats Cam has (besides rushing, which is why he is broken down) that Cam has better than Ryan. For me, again, I like my QBs to be better at passing than running. You know like I like my doctors to be better at making assessments than writing prescriptions. Well maybe thats a bit too complicated for you. Matt Ryan's individual stats are waaay better than Cam's, so are Bree's, So are Wilson's, So are fill in the blank with any top 15 passing QB.

What kind of straw man argument are you making ? That’s like not including cmc receiving yards when making a debate about who’s a better rb.

you like your qbs to better at passing, good for you, that’s your personally preference, many ways to cook a fish but your passing qbs that you like haven’t accomplished more than the rushing one you are so adamantly trying to discredit. That’s goes for Matt Stafford, Matt Ryan, Matt Damon don’t matter lol if it ain’t rodgers, Brady, Wilson Mahomes than you have a hard argument proving they’ve accomplished more cam newton.

This is trolling or you haven’t stated watching football until recently, Vick was in and out of lineups because he’d tried taking on hits like he’s was a rb.

How many seasons Vick missed because of injury? Cam?

LOL! I want to take a poll with that question. "Do you like your QB to (A) be a better passer or (B) a better runner? Hmmmmmm let me think about that one.... LOL...ridiculous.

Now we gone full on matrix dodge mode, no one is comparing him to Peyton or Dan those aren’t even his peers, and Peyton proves my point lol.

its a team sport only when it benefits your narrative, but when someone mentions the WR Corp compared to your qbs you’ve listed it’s all on cam then.....pick a side of the fence.

ite name me the rushing stats those individuals have that are better than cam since we are strawmaning it up in here and running from logical conversation

No its a team sport when you are talking about TEAM RECORDS. An indiviual throws, runs or catches. Clear?

Seasons or games ? Because I don’t recall cam missing a season

How many games he missed last year? effectively a season. But if you want to split hairs. OK. He never missed a season... just 14 out of 16 games in a season. My bad.

logic has slipped this one, a fair question is would you prefer a mobile qb over a traditional pocket passer.

and there’s no need for a poll look around the league, mobile qbs have taken over lol but keep living in your straw man reality

This is a direct quote from you: "you like your qbs to better at passing, good for you, that’s your personally preference".
Maybe its just me, but that is not a preference. Its a prerequisite.... No its not just me. Your statement was stupid.

    • It was absolutely a catch, and I can’t believe how many folks were stating, before the NFL’s apology, that the overturn was the right call.  The ultimate question in this case is this: can a player complete a catch with only one hand? Of course, we all know the answer to that question, and it is an emphatic “Yes.” T-Mac maintained complete control with one hand (believe it was the right) while the other came off when the ball hit the ground. The ball was in the same position in the one hand (watch T-Mac’s fingers in relation to the NFL shield on the ball) after touching the ground as it was when it first went to the ground. Going back to the question above, if one hand can establish control, then there was no need for the other to stay on the ball, so long as the ball doesn’t move in that one hand that stays on it   It blew my mind that they overturned this in the first place. This should not be a “We got it wrong on the replay because there wasn’t clear and convincing evidence.” This should have been, “That was absolutely a catch.”
    • Sign him up. I am willing to bet he wouldn't finish a game with -2 yards.
    • He is just fuging limited in every way.  On one hand, and nfl player, you would want to bulk them up so long as it doesn’t limit their mobility, elasticity, flexibility, ROM, or dynamicism - as is the concern with bulking up.  But the issue with that is, you would be worried about that when a guy has those traits to begin with.  Bryce is a very average athlete with a weak arm.  So if you’re not gonna be a great athlete with a strong arm, bulk up.  And if you can’t or won’t bulk up, find another fuging profession that doesn’t require athleticism and arm strength.  You’re built like a bitch AND aren’t a great athlete - you can’t be subpar in both categories…  well, unless you play for the Panthers apparently.
