Doesnt look like the onside thing made it.

Each change required two-thirds approval from the league's 32 clubs. While there was one notable rule change that would have provided an alternative for an onside kick attempt initially up for a vote, that was tabled.

Quote
  • Automatic replay reviews can permanently include scoring plays and turnovers negated by a foul, and any successful or unsuccessful try attempt.
  • Defenseless player protection has been expanded to include kickoff and punt returners who have possession of the ball, but haven't had time to protect themselves from opponent contact.
  • Teams cannot manipulate the game clock by committing multiple dead-ball fouls — like a delay of game followed by a false start — while the clock is running.

Also they changed the amount of players that can return from  IR, from 2 to 3.

That return rule is gonna lead to a ton of controversial penalties, just like the old "halo" rule in college football.

Its also going to give the returner an advantage

I still remember back when you had to specifically designate which player you were going to let return at the time you put him on IR.  Jim Caldwell put a special teams guy as the designated to return player, which was already weird.  Then when the guy finally came back later in the season, he got hurt in the first half of the first game and ended up back on IR. LOL

    • Taking only players from the sheet that are realistically available in or after the listed round, I’d like… 1st: DT Caleb Banks (Styles not realistic) 2nd: LB Jacob Rodriguez 3rd: OT Best available from Bowry, Barber, and Casey 4th: CB Daylen Everette 5th: S Jalen Huskey 6th: RB Adam Randall 7th: IOL Best available from Lemieux, Dawkins, Leausa, and Brose   I know nothing about some of the players listed, but it seems like that would be the best way it could fall for now. I’m sure the list of who we meet will change a ton, and there will also be players we don’t meet with to keep quiet. I’d love to pick up Randall in the late rounds.
    • Not what I said. They know within the building why we aren't utilizing TEs more. If the rumors were true that we were seriously pursuing a couple of decent receiving TEs that strongly points toward a lack of quality receiving TEs currently on the roster. Does that mean we consider drafting one at 19? I don't know, but it wouldn't shock me and if we did there's only one guy it would be. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see TE drafting somewhere in the first three rounds.
    • Yeah, I don’t know. Tepper was behind the Bryce selection. Behind firings and hiring over his lack of development.  He doesn’t have to literally tell them their hands are tied for them to know this. It is in the air constantly. The Canales Bryce play calling was even portrayed by more than one person as Canales failing Bryce, instead of Bryce being responsible for his own performance (except when he does well, then it is all him). Now they have an extra coach in, to help the new OC get results from this QB.  The atmosphere is not welcoming to prototypical young QBs that have talent. You get Jake Plummer types or old vets. I think we are stuck.
