Ok, so moved on to Gwyn Lord of Cinder.  I tried light armor but fuggin no go.  So, yes...I went tank.  So, put on the hornet ring and highest armor and parry.  So easy...almost too easy.  I got gud somehow.  Now...NG+...but will see.

Game is a masterpiece.  Play it.

I realize this means nothing without my final stats.  Will post

Final stats that matter...

Level 86

Vit 35

Attun - 12

End - 31

Str - 37

Dex - 23

Black knight sword +5

Halberd +12

Crystal Halbred +5...breaks easily but fugs up stuff

Longbow +5

Promancy Flame +5

Honestly the Crest Shield was all that was needed

Black Knight Shield is even better (hard to get till late for me)

Havels equipment is amazingly useful get it

Divine Claymore +5. Useful late against skeletons

So...Black Knight Sword made this easier.  If I had the Black Knight Halbred (never got it) this run would have been easier.

Game is so amazing.

Do not let the difficulty sway you.  This is one the best games out there.

Also...the halbred wepons in this game are nasty.  1 regret was not upgrading that to +15...really awesome

Most hated area...Painted fuggin world...fug that place

Favorite area...probably Demon Ruins

Best NPC...onion guy

Hardest boss...Bed of Chaos...fug that boss

Enemies that killed me most...mobs...

Most dangerous  enemy...Ballistics...seriously those damn things are serious

86 is pretty high tbh. I think I was around 50 or so the first time I beat Gwyn.

Still have the DLC!

Thanks man...what an amazing experience.  Appreciate the walkthrough man!

Damn the NG+ is so calling my name.  But I have 2 and 3 to play.

So should I do 2 next or skip to 3?  Appears to be a legit question?

Something is telling me 3 is amazing

2 is definintley worth playing. 2' DLC is also the best in the series.

    • That's part of being patient too. Not rushing players into roles they aren't ready for. Make them earn it. If you convince yourself that "so and so" needs to start because they were a first round pick, even though they have done nothing to earn it, you have set up both team and player for failure. You can convince yourself all day long that "there is no substitute for game experience" but if the guy can't do his job in practice, he can't do it in a game. Not consistently, anyway.  Teams like the Steelers, the Ravens and the Packers ROUTINELY bench rookies to start off with and no one bats an eyelash. Even if the team is losing. Because that's what they do. They have set the precedent. The players have to show they are ready. Then they get their chance.
    • Let me provide you with some food for thought. Before this "now era" of the NFL, QBs were allowed time to develop. Everyone from the GM to the fans had more patience. QBs were simply better in the old because they were afforded the time to sit, observe and learn. It's no wonder that guys we threw away, or simply didn't want, have had varying degrees of success elsewhere.  Some Huddlers were talking crazy about Jordan Love and Lamar Jackson---just crazy...
    • I think the JAG debates are largely people having vastly different definitions of JAG.  The OG JAG LB debate was James Anderson.  And James Anderson is probably going to be ahead of Shaq on my alltime LB list (it's really close though).
