Couple of QB coach options with connections here...

Sean Ryan - worked with Matt Rhule when he was with the Giants; most recently coached Matt Stafford in Detroit

Darrell Bevell - Seahawks OC from 2011 to 2017; most recently OC / interim coach for the Lions

Brian Schottenheimer - succeeded Bevell in Seattle; recently let go but was given a friendly sendoff

Greg Knapp - OC under Jim Mora for his final year in Seattle; most recently QB coach for the Atlanta Falcons

Steve Ensminger - Joe Brady's OC at LSU; currently an offensive analyst with the university

Joe Moorhead - was OC at Penn State for one of the years that Joe Brady was a GA there; currently OC at the University of Oregon; was briefly speculated as a possibility to join the Panthers staff last season by somebody but I forget who

Other possible options but with no known connections: Pep Hamilton, Shane Steichen, Marty Mornhinweg, Jim Bob Cooter, Jay Gruden, Tim Kelly, Jim Caldwell, Dowell Logains

I would love to see us get a top flight QB coach, especially if we're drafting a rookie.

The current assistant quarterback coach does not have the resumé to take the full time job, so I'm really hoping Rhule doesn't promote him.

We interviewed three guys last year before naming Jake Peetz to the job: Ben McAdoo, Mike McCoy and Scott Linehan. Of those three, Linehan was probably the best option, but word it is he's going to be working for Urban Meyer as the Jags OC.

The others are still unemployed, which isn't a real good sign.

There are definitely other candidates.

How cool would it be to have Dan Morgan and Jake Delhomme back in the organization? Considering Jake was never the most talented guy on the field, and was a fiery competitor and leader of men type, I feel he would be the perfect guy to coach a young panthers Qb if he were interested
