Most underrated band of all time, Ive been sayin that for years. Had my ticket to see them at the old Boathouse in Norfolk, VA. Shannon passed 2 weeks before the show, absolute tragedy. FWIW, it was cocaine that killed him, not H...rep if I could, walt...

There was a really good artice in the 'Details' magazine annual music issue. Talked about how Shannon's death went almost unnoticed with Curt, Jerry and Bradley from Sublime all passing close to that time, and how over a year after he died there was still not a gravestone at his place of rest. The band said he wasnt doing coke when he died, but he did a bunch the night before. They all went into a restaurant for breakfast while Shannon said he was stayin on teh bus. When they got back to the bus all they saw were his dirty bare feet hanging off the bed, and he never woke up...

I know that they released a CD called Nico Blue, named after his son, after he was gone, and I thought I had heard there was a "greatest hits" not too long ago...

I met Shannon Hoon and one of the other guys, Rogers Or Brad Smith ...cant remember which one. Hoon of course stands out..

The Mississippi guys grew up with some friends of mine, and came by to visit at my friends apartment one night in Starkville.

Hoon was um...strange. Didnt say much. Too bad he danced too long with El Diablo.

    • Cam was hitting his stride as a QB in 2017/2018.     This is why I think stats like completion percentage are overrated. As long as a QB is clutch and makes the throws to win the game the rest doesn’t really matter. What good is a check down stat padder if they’re a choker.  Until Norv Turner (and briefly Chud) got here we put Cam in high pressure throwing situations all the time. We also ran the ball on first down more than most teams in the NFL in the Ron era. Coupled with shitty WRs, all that is expressed in his stats. I also assume Cam took the ball in his hands on many occasions rather than trust Funchess to catch the ball.    It was also never Cams job to play the game like someone else. His presence on the field dictated the game in a way that is rarely seen.  He showed he could play the dink and dunk game just before TJ Watt. That didn’t suddenly make him better than his earlier seasons. He just got put in a legit under center  passing game again for first time since his rookie year with Chud.    Ron took the quickest path to success and abused the RPO because his ass was about to get fired.    Cam never got the credit for being the cerebral player that he was. I just think when you are legitimately a human Superman, sometimes the best play is having the ball in your hands. He was a better passer than Delhomme was.
    • I don't think Canales has any problem benching Bryce or moving on if Bryce doesn't come out playing like the end of last year.  It's year 3 no more excuses for Bryce
    • Yea Bryce was definitely a top half qb the second half of last season but I'm not sure Canales is 100% sold on him.  Like I've said in another post I think that's part of why we talked to so many South Carolina players in the draft process.  I think they are doing early due diligence on Sellers just in case.
