The Hornets won the coin toss with the Spurs for the 11th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft. The two teams finished with the same record, so a coin toss was used to determine who would pick first. Both teams will share the same lottery odds, but if neither team moves up to the top four, the Hornets will pick 11th, and the Spurs will pick 12th.

LaMelo Ball is releasing 500 NFTs before the Rookie of the Year announcement. The NFTs will be updated with his Rookie of the Year award if and when he wins it. If you want to get in on the ground floor of the LaMelo Ball NFT game, now is your chance.

The Hornets could have eyes on Daniel Theis in free agency. Theis is coming off a down year with the Bulls, but he’s a solid big, especially on the defense end. Plus he’d be another piece as the Hornets try to recreate the 2018-19 Celtics roster.

Theis is someone I think we could get as the backup Center.. Grab a starting Center for the future (Holmes, Allen, Turner???) and then get a quality backup like Theis on the cheap

Great idea. Let's hope it plays out that way.

    • That was intended to be plural. Games(3 games he played in 2004). Yeah, I think objectively CJ is still the better QB but I also no longer have a rosy view of his career. I don't know that he is going to ascend any further than his rookie year and he may descend quite far if his confidence is shattered. I am not in the CJ vs. Bryce camp like most of you all are. I don't want either of them. Especially in the context of potentially getting a mega deal. I could be wrong about both or either in the end but my bet now is that entire 2023 first round QB class just doesn't have any upper tier QB's.
    • I think DJ will always catch some heat because he will never be an elite WR, despite having elite attributes. I remember that when he was here. We all saw Steve Smith play for years, so we know what a truly elite WR looks like. DJ was never that. Now, is he a very, very good WR? Yes. Is he one of the best 15-20 WR's in the NFL year in and year out? I would say yes, as well. But he will always get some doubters because he is the tier below the truly elite WR's. I do agree, though. Would love to still have it. Would love to have reversed that trade immediately. Especially with the benefit of hindsight the way we have now. It's way more painful from that view.
    • No, he never threw 8 tds in a game.  I feel like we're splitting hairs and are describing the exact same situation, but you're looking through the lens of recency bias.  Either way, the original point remains the same.  CJ Stroud is still far better than Bryce Young.
