Two hot takes

Take one:

I don't believe we are set at TE, regardless of the Darnold-Arnold connection, the drafting of Tremble or the other (ongoing) experiment that is Ian Thomas. Ricci...? Ha ha!

We need to offer something to the Browns for David Njoku. They don't need him. Hell, that being said, I'm not sure we need him if Brady is not going to use him. Rhule and company may not value the position like past Panthers coaches.

We have a TE by committee that creates one Frankenstein. Not one is complete. Arnold is light in the ass and really can't block. Ian Thomas is the size, but just appears like he's stuck in mud when he's moving, and...he can't block AND has had sketchy hands (and, no, that misse today wasn't his fault). Tremble is young and inexperienced, so who knows what he's going to do? He ain't doing anything soon though. TE is perhaps the most difficult position to learn on offense (outside of QB of course). And, he really doesn't have any active player in Charlotte of what a complete TE looks like.

Take two:

For the love of God, Brady needs to learn fast--and maybe Rhule too--how to use a fuging big, strong back near the goal line (or even to move the chains on short yardage sometimes). I don't know if they're scared of our own O-line to get a push or what, but running CMC into the pile at the goal line is dumb! You claimed Rolls Royce, now you need to drive the motherfuger at the goal line!

    • Outside of cerrato, I do like our draft overall. Hard to get can't miss draft picks when you pick late in the draft
    • Very True--and I am a former HS English teacher.
    • Not a Moore fan-but he had a few good games last year-but I want players that scare you--Renfrow's route running and intelligence, Legette's size, speed, and strength, AT's intelligence and route running, Coker's body control, strong hands, and abilty to win contested catches, and TMac's size, body control, and ability to find soft spots in zone coverages.  Horn gives them the ability to stretch the field and he plays special teams.   Moore has a nice smile and can dance.  He filled in well last season, but to get better as a team, you have to upgrade your players.  I think Moore is a bottom of the roster guy who got bumped when we drafted 2 WRs and signed a legit free agent.  Here is the thing--TMac makes us better because he is great against the zone--man?  Good luck with that.  AT's role can be reduced, and that is probably a good thing.  He can specialize in situational football. Coker?  Just getting started. XL?  Just getting started.  Drafting TMac was probably a bit of a wake up call, but XL will be better as the 2. Renfrow?  I see him splitting reps with AT--keeping both fresh and giving different looks. Horn?  Watch the safety cheat his side when he is in the game--I see a young Steve Smith type in him, but he has yet to play a game.  I hear that Morgan loves him.
