It’s still SO early but the difference between this and previous regimes is night and fuging day.

Starting with the draft which he managed masterfully, giving the team more and more picks which have already been turned into early contributors such as TMJ, Tremble, Hubbard, Nixon, etc and obviously Horn who looked legit before injury.

Early on looking like he CRUSHED fa. Jones, Fox, Reddick, even Erving hasn’t been a total disaster. Elflein sucks but overall that’s a hell of a haul.

Thinking PROGRESSIVELY. Knowing the team wants to contend for a playoff spot this year, but instead of overpaying for a vet taking a chance on a guy with loads of talent that’s still crazy young. Someone that could help us this year and in the future.

He is absolutely crushing it so far. This is not me anointing him, but I’m very cautiously optimistic.

The guy is always looking to improve our team.  Trading players or scooping them up on the market.

He's not overpaying underperforming players just to save face from a 1st round pick.

He is on the same page as the Head Coach which makes it easier to find the talent we want. 9 of 11 players drafted are contributing.  The other two are in the wings as potential contributors. He's building a team that will be built for the long haul.  Can you imagine 3 or 4 drafts in a row like 2021?

I still think Elflein was almost as much about having a Paradis backup as a LG. He also had chemistry with Darnold. Yeah, he still sucks, but I can at least follow the logic ... sort of.

Also, Arnold was another hellova FA pickup. Which he has now rolled into another top 10 CB.

This has me thinking of who this band of merry misfits running the show in BOA reminds me of.

You've got Rhule, the caption.

Kirk

Snow, the science officer/genius

Spock

Brady, the navigator.

Chekov

Fitterer, the engineer.

Scotty

Or I've watched too much Star Trek in my informative years.

    • Dude, I think I might be having Jarvy withdrawals... I ripped the sleeves off of all of my t-shirts in my sleep last night. Every bite of my Alpha-Bita cereal spelled Seth, this morning. And, I took 7 naps before lunch. I'm losing it guys! Jarvy's Jaunty Band of Jaggoffs are getting more play than he is... smh Team Canada doesn't treasure Jarvis the way he deserves. He should take his band down to Liechtenstein, get a bag of passports, and start his own Olympic team! The raw animal magnetism of Jarvilicious will bring in a handful of NHLers on its own. And, since the IOC believes in collective punishment, he could have his pick of the rookies. Then, just fill out the rest of the roster with the maple blooded great white northerners who couldn't make the top squad. Can't trust this assembled awesomery to just any old Liechtensteinien with a clipboard and a whistle. Gotta bring in a legend worthy of this gold medal gambit. A hockey HOFer with the balls to buck the system and the aura to match our maverick. Huere geil, Vaduz!!! 2030 Gold Medal guaranteed!
    • Tennessee isn't trading a QB on a 2nd round contract that has starting experience.  That's bad business.
    • OT is the top priority as it is both an immediate and future need.  I wouldn't be past trading up slightly to get the guy we want.  You need that rookie contract right now.  Icky is a dead 17.5 million for the season.  Morton is 20+ mil for the season, Hunt is 20+ mil for the season.  There needs to be forward thinking regarding the future.   Caleb Lomu is a left Tackle, he's a solid prospect, he may be the best pick for us now and in the future.  I would seriously consider cutting Hunt after 2026, and let Lomu and Icky fight for the LT job, loser moves inside.  Icky's future may be at guard after this injury anyway.  If Damien Lewis keeps up his level of play he will need to be paid sooner rather than later.  Yosh and BC can be our top two depth OL at an affordable price.  You will need to look at OT again in 2027. Getting an EDGE for the sake of getting an EDGE outside of the top 10 is pretty risky.  I wouldn't be against eyeing someone like Cashius Howell, Derrick Moore, or TJ Parker in the 2nd (even if we trade a future pick to move up) or DDS in the third. I'd love to see us try to sign both Leo Chenal and Matt Millano in FA.   Chenal for the blitzing element we are missing from our LB corps and Millano for his elite coverage.  They could both work in tandem.  Remember, our FO has deep ties to both KC and Buffalo. I love thinking about the draft, but until Free Agency hits, we are clueless.  Looking at the strength of FA and the draft, OL is priority #1, LB #2, and EDGE #3.  We know what happens to Bryce when protection falls apart.
