I'm not playing we are to good of a team to lose to Miami at home on THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL !!!

Are you kidding I really thing we need a QB who can make play who a PLAYMAKER !!!!!!!!

what do you guy think ???

I agree, but just to warn you - this has already been discussed ad nauseam in multiple threads, so you may get flamed for opening a new one. Just saying.....but otherwise, I think most Panthers fans agree that a change somewhere is in order for this team to play to their capabilities.

last night was not jakes fault.

we were down by 3 when the defense let them go right back down the field and score ....

not to mention all the 3rd downs they wiffed on...

pathetic defense...

I don't get how you can continually defend Jake even after this horseshit performance. He overthrew Smitty on at least 3 different occassions when Smitty clearly had his man beat. There was another play where Jake eluded a defender and had Smitty standing wide open and he missed him by like 5 yards to the right. How about that pathetic throw near the endzone that was picked off? Didn't he complete like 40% of his passes?? This dude is done. I thought he was beginning to turn it around but that's not the case. He is a burden to this team, and is arguably the worst QB in the NFL.

we just need a new perspective, and a new fire.

our coaches, players and even fan base are all too flat.

we need some excitement in Carolina again...

This IMO puts it in a nutshell for me regarding the need for change. Under Fox, this team constantly comes out flat and uninspired at the wrong times. JR wants our team to mirror the Steelers and I'm absolutely on board with that - the question is: will we ever get to that level with John Fox? With the Steelers, you always know whenever they step on the field, they have a chance to win. The same can be said for the Patriots, Colts and now the Saints. With the Panthers? You never know what team will show up - the one that took the NFC South last year or that has been teetering between mediocre and terrible for much of this season. The fans - and I suspect the players as well - are getting dizzy and nausea from the inconsistency. /rant

    • The last child @ home has told me he wants to go to a game, so we're seeing vs Rams on the 30th
    • Did we really shut them down though? They had 369 yards of offense.   That is 9 more yards than they average per game and 53 more than we give up per game this year.   If a team gave up 369 yards per game on defense, they'd be the 7th worst defense in the league this year. Yes, I will give our defense credit for having the 4th down stand near our goal line as well as creating the fumble that stopped their first drive, as they did rise to the occasion then, but even the INT was just a ridiculous play/throw and handed it to us and they also missed a FG. We didn't force them into a single punt all game.  We had 1 sack on a QB who had 37 pass attempts. They had drives of 56, 49, 50, 43, 58, and 71 yards (while we only had 2 over 40 yards ourselves). We bent, a lot, but never really broke, partially due to the Packers own mistakes, that's a far cry from "shutting them down" in my opinion.  Again, this is why I'm critical of us after a day like today, I'm able to look beyond a final score and evaluate how we played on the whole, and we keep squeaking out these wins despite not playing well at all.  And yes, that is what great teams do, but they also play well in the majority of their games, where as all we seem to do is squeak out ugly wins without ever playing all that well. I'm not saying I'm unhappy that we won, I've never once said anything like that, but when week after week I see serious concerns with how we played, then I'm going to call out what I see.
