OR NOT.... say they win the next two, which is very possible. Do you let them get your hopes up again? Like after the Atlanta game some people on here were all excited thinking we were going to make a push.....then you get slammed back down by the real Jake and Fox show. Do you let them do it to you again, do ya??

If they win three straight. Then I might be sucked in agian. But beating the Jets and Bucs isnt anything to be excited over.

Thank you M.M.P for answering the question and not acting like I was trying to insult you with it.

And yes I agree with not getting sucked in and being cautious.

I wasn't all that hyped up for the Miami game. We don't have a playoff caliber team, especially with our QB. Even we won the Miami AND Buffalo game I still wouldn't be happy, becasue like I said our team is not a contender and if we squeezed by in a wild card we would just get embarressed.

Replace that sole position on our team however and we are looking at 1 or 2 losses this year.

Hopefully the panthers staff can work together and figure this out for next year...(?)

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
