Why would he? He is not gonna roll over and let himself get fired. He knows very well a rookie will not save his job in todays NFL when they can just Josh Rosen his rookie QB after they give him the pink slip.

7-8 wins with a promising rookie QB on a team that improves throughout the season very well might save his job. I honestly think that would be his best reasonable path to a 4th year. I can't see him landing a vet QB that would get him there.

With our schedule i can see a result like that giving Rhule a fourth year but it also seems very unlikely given our schedule…

It's why I wanted him fired. This very much feels like a lame duck year because it's very hard to see Rhule getting this team to where it needs to be to get him a 4th year. It seems like everyone except the man ultimately making the decision has accepted this reality.

How did Teddy Bridgewater not show everyone that completion percentage without context is irrelevant…

True, but Teddy isn't a deep ball specialist. Besides Teddy is only at 66%, that is barely a starter as far as completion percentage.

    • I'm right there with you, brother. I've been a Panther fan since the day the team was awarded to the Carolinas.  We've had some good years, a couple of great years, as well as some low periods and no consecutive winning seasons. But I never thought I'd see such a period as we have over the past several years.   It has gotten to the point of being rather apathetic in watching them. In fact, I told my wife before the Miami game I was watching just to see what new and creative way they lose another game. And early on, it looked like they would. But damned if Miami wasn't more creative than the Panthers.   I'm now older than my Dad when he died (he was 65) and, like you, I've wondered if I'll ever see them have another winning season. I'd sure like to think I will.
    • again, I am not his employer, I dont follow his stuff or read any of it including social media, but he has been employed long enough where someone thinks he is doing a good job, not disagreeing he isnt an moron but I am not calling for anyones job for being a moron when it really doesnt affect me
