Injury Update for Sunday

Oh. I looked at the site when this was posted, and he wasn't on the front page or the injury report. I just looked and, sure enough, there it is.

My apologies...

...also, he will be there, more than likely. I doubt he would miss a game if he could at all bear to be there.

he has played an entire season with hurt ribs.....Smitty can play through it if he wants to......if he doesn't play imo it will be a sign of frustration w/ Carolina.

Jeez, you make him sound like a TO type. Smitty aint a bitch like him. He doesn't whine.

No I didn't.

Why risk your body and play through injury...when the coaching staff is pathetic as it has been this year and Jake is as pathetic as he has been this year? That has nothing to do w/ being a "T.O".

Get healthy. The Carolina coaching staff is shooting this team in the foot w/ Jake right now.....No point for Smitty to pointlessly play w/ a clear injury.

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
