take away my fan card

I would have turned it off...but I was watching it via DVR, so I fast forwarded through the shitties moments...which was most of the game.

Apathy has definitely set in for me with this team. I've been a fan since day 1, and will still continue being a fan, but I'm seriously thinking about cutting out the NFL Sunday Ticket next year. The only reason I had it was because I couldn't watch any Panthers game on local TV. Now I can save money, and the torment of watching the pile of dog poo these coaches put out on the field every Sunday. Just think if you were Jerry Richardson. He's got to be peeved at the condition of his franchise. One that he practically guaranteed would have won a Super Bowl by now. One that is the very definition of mediocrity. I mean, I used to joke fans of other teams, because their team couldn't manage back to back winning seasons. Well, our team can't either.

Yep this is the first time in two years I've changed the channel before the game was over. I told my fiancee I knew how it would end and I couldn't have been more right.

Did miss the fourth interception though. What a shame!

It's going to be hard to make it through a whole game for the rest of the season if the status quo is maintained, which I have no doubt will be.

fug you very much John Fox.

It simply boggles my mind. Watch most ANY other game. Their QB has almost no trouble getting a pass to an open or semi-open WR or TE. Jake seemingly can't do this AT ALL. It seems like every pass is a struggle. The routes the WRs run are crap (on Davidson), their separation is crap (on the WRs), but it looks like the other team has 22 guys on the field and Jake just throws it into a sea of defenders. I just don't get it at all.

And I stopped watching after the late FG by the Jets.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
