Charlotte FC Interested In Atletico Mineiro Striker, Fabio Gomes

Gomes had a bit of success when he was loaned to RBNY last year (7 goals, 6 assists) but the interest is still odd as Charlotte has Swiderski, Rios, and the injured Mello as options up top. Vargas and Reyna can also play center forward if necessary.

That’s good news. Gomes seems redundant with Rios and while Gomes is probably better than Rios, they are both better situated to play up top in a 4-2-2 rather than a 4-3-3. There’s no need to acquire players that don’t fit the profile of style.
