Moore IS a better option than Jake.

Ive actually met Rodney before. Very cool fellow indeed. Tell Rodney for me to tell the Panthers they need to start drafting & giving young black QBs a chance like they gave him one. Im sure he would be all for it.

Well now you've got me all confused. In your signature, you claim the Panthers are "proudly saying no to black QBs since 1995" which comes off as really goddamn racist. And now you're talking about needing to give young black QBs a chance.

Hell, maybe I just need to leave work and go home to sleep.

Signature makes no sense - Pete played well after 1995 :P

RE: this topic, Jake was the first person to go to Moore's side and congratulate him after the first drive, and he was supposedly very supportive during the game. Jake WANTS Moore to succeed. Jake wants this team to win. Yes, he was upset on the sidelines at times - but not at Moore.

Let's give Moore another game before passing judgement on his abilities. He got a boring win against a 1-10 team.

Next week will be a better test. If he can make it interesting at least, I'll be happy. If not, he may show that the problem doesn't start at the QB position.

I agree that if he STARTS next week against NE in Foxboro, it'll tell us alot more about #3 then we saw today.

IMO, having a bad game in a hostile cold enviroment will not tell us anymore than the game today did. Have to judge a Quarterback on his body of work, not on any single game. He could have four int's next week, and that would not mean a whole lot to me. In fact, how he would bounce back from such a game would mean more than that game itself.

    • New season new teams. Everyone we face has improved their team as well. There's now a full season of tape on Canales's offense and Bryce running it. When they win 7 games I will become a believer.
    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
