I Was Not Impress With Matt Moore Today

Plus, Moore can hit an open Smitty on a go route....Jake gets that open throw picked or puts it out of reach for Smitty.

Not to get picky, but Moore soared a ball over a wide open Smitty in the endzone. I'm not defending Jake, as I think neither are the answer.

Yeah, Moore is God! The same mentality that drove people to see Jake as anything more than a glorified back-up QB for the last few years is the same Jedi Mind Trick that is deceiving people into believing that Moore is a genuine NFL starter.

Be for real, people! No Jake! No Moore!

for this year he is the best option.

for next year...not completely ready to rule him out. i want more than what we got yesterday and i want to see if he can do more.

no way am i going to crown him the next brady/manning/brees or whatever. i want to see more from him and think he has done enough to warrant more consideration. that was his first start since '07 and only his 4th ever as a pro. i don't expect a whole lot with him being so green but i also expect to see some growth given more opportunities to start.

Not to get picky, but you ride the pine for 3 years here, start your 4th NFL LIVE GAME EVER, and tell me how perfect you would be!

You people are ******* nuts!

Until we get a more imaginative offensive scheme and better play calling, no one with have much luck with this offense.

If Moore was going to be impressive, he would not be 3rd string in the NFL.

Thats going by the standards some fans are using.

However as a comparison of "This" teams QB's!

Longest Reception this season?

Smitty working hard for him?

Throwing the ball away more times than not when the sack is coming?

The quote above is the right long term answer with all the talent the panthers have. Because we can't afford or find better QB's, which is the only thing subpar.

Injuries and "luck" don't factor in!

When you are handcuffed.........it's hard to do anything good except look like a prisoner.

Just sayin............

well, that was a different throw and route. That big gain where Smitty beat his coverage was a play Jake has not hit once this year w/ Smitty beating the corner.

Moore should have hit that one throw....but it was fairly early and I can give him one overthrow on that fade to the corner. His first start since 07....can't expect him to hit everthing like he had been playing all season I guess.

but just like Jake.....they are asking Moore to make throws to plays with disaster written all over them. Again, the deep passes to Moose?!?! The throw actually wasn't bad....but Moose can't make those plays but Fox treats it like his bread and butter.

Wait, but Moore doesn't practice, hasn't been on the team for a couple of years now and hadn't already had some throws under his belt.

Wow, people are so deranged with the the "anybody but Jake" syndrom that they would defend David Carr starting at this point if he were still on the team.

Do you have nightmares about Jake at night?

Yes, and anybody else that pulls for this team does more than likely.

You obviously don't understand the difference in "practice", and "live game" action, and or game experience do you??

Before you go to Jake's aid with the "experience" word I provided you.............think about what he has done with all his "experience" versus what is basically a rookie.

No matter the outcome, you always seem to come off sounding as if you will defend Jake to his grave, very "John Fox like" it seems.

I don't get you people complaining about Moore. He got us a W without making us look like a sh!t team. What do you expect for someone who has rode the pine with us for 3 years, and his 4th NFL start ever?

The way we prepare, I'm sure he get's very few reps in practice as well.......so quit with the bullsh!t people.

No one is defending Jake but I am being realistic about Moore.

He didn't play well and his performance wouldn't have won any other game all year. People expected Moore to come and play much better than Jake but he didn't. I blame that as much on Davidson as I do the quarterbacks. We can't develop quarterbacks or receivers. The reality is saying Moore didn't play well isn't a defense of Jake. Jake didn't play well either many games. The fact that neither has looked good might point the finger somewhere else. For me that place is Davidson until I am shown any kind of proof that Fox is in fact calling the plays or holding Davidson back. So far there has been lots of speculation but no proof.

First off, thank you for responding to the post directed at you without being condesending.

I agree that he's a bit rusty in live games, but I didn't see enough out of him to say he's the answer. Ideally, he'll stick around as our #2 QB and the team will find someone else next year that can really guide our offense.

The play calling is bad, everyone sees it, so that has to imrpove as well and if Davidson (Fox) is gone next year we may get to see that change with much less predictable play-calling.

oh, Thanks again.

Every coaching position has been changed but Fox's........no speculation there.

As I said ealier.....do you understand what "handcuffed" means?
