Sometimes I think we're too spoiled.

man some of you guys just refuse to let go. i bet you guys will be the ones keeping your loved ones on life support for a month after they are clinically brain dead... just in case!

how's my 5-11 preseason guess looking so far?

No. I have excepted the inevitable weeks ago, but we are still in it.....barely...that' all I was saying' but I don't have to explain myself to you. The teams we play are beatable, the last couple of weeks prove that. I know the Panthers have a very hard battle ahead, but it is possible.

True, lesser teams is upgrading and winning in the NFL isn't what it used to be. Its harder

But our coach decided to keep in Jake when he was losing games for us, now everybody back peddling ask where would we be if we been made a change. Just think through the close games ended by INT, where would we be?

I'm with Jangler here, and whats the point of watching if you have given up ALL hope? Part of the allure, to me, of sports is that as long as there is a fighter's chance for your team there is still hope. There is a certain suspension of reality that you can allow yourself to have when you are watching sports.

"yeah, we are down by 10 with 2 minutes to go but if we can just......."

That is what makes sports great. Most of your everyday life does not allow you to think in that vien. Once you start adding heavy doses of reality into sports you have removed the fun.

and your answer for the team is a 30 year CFL player named after a corn chip? lol

He's about 8 months older than Garcia was when the 49ers signed him to backup Young. ANd I never procalimed him the "answer". I just pointed out he is an option who wants a chance to get back in the NFL, he would be cheaper than anything we have including Moore since we'll have to sign him again, and he looks better thna anything we have since he's honed his skills in the pass happy CFL.

why do we keep going through this? Jake Delhomme is horrible. We have 0 choice, but to have faith in Matt Moore. Matt Moore is average. Jake is below average. End of story.

There's always a choice. We playing Moore now, hit him with the RFA tender and see what offers he gets. It won't be much because he ain't much, but we'd get to match and keep him if we wanted. In all seriousness, who would make a play for Moore?

I just don't see the reasons for all the faith in Moore at this point. The man has thrown 143 passes that we have seen in his career. He completed 83 for a career completion percentage of 58. 3 TDs and 7 Ints in his career for a final career rating of 64.8.

That's what we (fans) have seen him do. I don't think that you can know that "as long as Moore is in we have a chance".

The backup is always the most popular guy until he gets playing time like Weinke a few years ago. Now Moore gets to either live up to everyone's faith in him or flame out like so many have before him. At this point I can't say I have faith in him as he hasn't done much but I have hope he can play well and be a starter.

I agree with the Moore hasn't shown much statements and I was also one of the last ones completely off the Jake wagon. But tbh, Moore would have to play really, really bad to play worse than Jake has this year. Just some competent throws would be a huge improvement. I mean it's not like we ask our QB to be Manning. Throw the slant consistently well, an occasional 10 and out, and a deep ball 3 times a game to Steve Smith. Other than that, hand the ball off and don't get in the way.

All I'm trying to say is we're not alone. Sometimes I think we have it so bad, but then I look at teams like the Rams, Seakhawks, Bucs, who were all elite teams at one point but now are bottom feeders trying to fight to win 4 games every year.

At least we should be proud that we're competitive every year and it seems like we're always in the playoff race till the end.
