Will the Panthers, Fox make a deal?

could be a good sign. last extension he signed was a couple years before the contract was up. waiting this long might mean we are moving on.

not really crazy about the idea of a lame duck fox. panthers probably aren't crazy about paying coaches for not playing if there is a lockout in 2011 so they may wait and let foxy run out his contract and then see what happens and what is available.

i do hope they decide to pull the plug anyway.

since fox has gotten his first extension the team's pretty much run around in circles. A .500 season, a losing season, a division title win followed by an embarrassing rout in the playoffs, and what I'd presume to be another dissappointing season to add on top

where can they see a future in this guy

    • There probably isn’t an orthopedic surgery that has had more improvement in technique and outcomes over the last two decades than the acl repair. Because of its importance in pro sports and the sheer number that surgeons do there have been lots of opportunities to practice 1. Better techniques - arthroscopic v open surgery means people heal faster  2. More training - all sports med surgeons have tons of experience doing them 3. better imaging - later generations of mri are more sensitive  4. better therapy - PTs have gotten better at rehabbing them and the theories of rehab have improved a lot. No idea about brooks in particular tho, but I’d describe that overall situation as “not great”
    • If Freeling or either of the Utah OTs dropped to 19 I'd be more than happy honestly. Our OT situation isn't great with an aging Moton at RT and a mess of a situation at LT if Walker goes down at any point in time.  What I'm expecting the Panthers to do is probably draft another weapon like Sadiq or KC Conception. That's been their track record in drafting R1 thus far. None of the defensive talent projected to be around 19 stands out to me. Unless they just want to draft a LB early (Rodriguez,  CJ Allen, Anthony Hill, Jake Gollday).
