Don't get me wrong, he's a great young player, but he knows that...he's going to be the new guy that people hate unless they are Eagles fans and not just because he makes plays.

The backing into the endzone was pretty bad, but then the fake fall. That's not even the first time he's acted like that. He's like the Sam Cassel of the NFL, great actor.

I also remember in his first year he threw the ball backwards before crossing the goal line...

So how long before he's on every hard hitting safety's wanted list?

It drives me insane....it will cost us big one day. Hard to believe that his mentor before coming into the league was Jerry Rice. They say Desean walked into camp from day one that way. It is the guy's personality and I don't expect him to be something he isn't. Guy sure is fun and exciting to watch though and I watch football to be entertained so.....

He's a douche of immense proportions....it's almost like he had TO there mentoring him. The official screwed up by not going over to him immediately after he made like a Portuguese soccer player and warning him that if he did that again, he'd be costing his team 15 for UC.

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
