btw...i know it's not panther related but it's local and he's someone i was hoping we would take a look at in the offseason. seemed like he had turned his life around and was on the right track.

Alright a receiver in charlotte in a car wreck for the second time in a month. If he was driving a Maserati then someone needs to do some investigating. Seriously though hope hes okay and its not anything major.

edit: ESPN says he is in serious condition.

Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry was involved in an accident Wednesday in Charlotte. The team has said that the injuries are believed to be very serious. Henry was placed on injured reserve on Nov. 9 after breaking his arm against Baltimore.

Do you think richardson would take him.with all the trouble he has gotten into.
he hadn't had any issues for about two years. if he really had straightened things out i don't see why not.

just something i was hoping we would do. he's got a ton of talent.

doesn't seem like we'll ever get a chance to find out, though.

not good at all....

Chris Henry -- a wide receiver on the Cincinnati Bengals -- is fighting for his life after falling out of the back of a moving pick-up truck earlier today.

Police tell TMZ Henry was involved in a "domestic situation" with his fiancee in North Carolina. Cops say the fiancee tried to leave her home in a pick-up truck -- when Chris ran after the truck and hopped into the bed.

Cops say , "At some point while [Henry's fiancee] was driving, Mr. Henry came out of the back of the vehicle."

Cops tell TMZ, Henry is suffering from "life threatening injuries."

According to KYPost.com, Henry is believed to have suffered "severe head injuries."

We're told a crime scene unit is currently at the scene conducting an investigation.

    • yeah, now it's going to get awkward.  The team circles pay attention to all this stuff.  All the wives and girlfriends see the posts.  They all talk like everyone.  Football is just a normal world outside of the fact they play a game for lots of money.  Gossip travels. They know the Theilen's want out at this point.  Carolina is now the disappointed failed trade location.    So now AT takes sort of an inhouse hit in Carolina IMO
    • Ummm... The dude looked like he was about 180 pounds soaking wet with us (I don't care what his listed weight was/is) - he would have been destroyed in the run game even more than our current and past crappy ILBs. The problem is we primarily play 3-4 or nickel/dime - there is little room on the field for him because he isnt an edge LB blitzer and he can't cover for crap. The only thing he can do kind of well is be an in-the-box safety that can try and beat blockers to the spot because of his athleticism. Washington was able to make him work last year because they used him solely as an in-the-box safety and almost exclusively ran a single high FS. The funny thing is they had good yards/game stats against the pass despite most of their secondary having embarrassingly low PFF grades. Washington was also terrible against the run, which might explain why they gave up so few yards passing.
    • Just get the deal done. We've teased it so much that the Thielen's expect it. Now we run the risk of our veteran WR locker room presence becoming disgruntled. Just take what we can get, make him happy, and get future assets while freeing up snaps for guys who will be here beyond this season.
