he will only improve with time and experience..i'm really looking forward to next season.

Yep. He look much better than he was in the last 3 games two years ago, so his future look promising.

as long as jake remains on the bench anyone is an improvement.

Really? Even David Carr was better than Jake when he was with us 2 yrs. ago?!? :frown2:

after his performance last nite its safe to say that jake will remain the backup moving forward. now that we have a legit QB the management can concentrate on acquiring another quality wide receiver to take some of the pressure off steve smith. this team is starting to come together, i cant wait for next season!

GO PANTHERS!

i hate to burst your bubble, but he's quite inaccurate much of the time.

better than jake? hell yes. but to anoint him the future of the franchise? hardly... at least not yet. let him finish the season and earn the spot straight up in training camp rather than ascend to it via injuries to everyone in front of him.

Moore is 4-2 as a starter and last night looked like he was comfortable running the offense for the first time really. I think he will only get better. I would still take a QB next year and try to move into the first round. I think it is an unusually strong QB draft. I think Bradford could be great. There is Claussen, McCoy, Pike, and I really find it hard to believe Locker won't come out. I'm not sure if Locker can change his mind but his "advisors" need to change this decision he would be the 1st QB taken and gone in the first 3 picks. By playing next year he risks the same thing that happened to Bradford. Bradford would have been number 1 overall but due to injury might only go in the top 10 now.

I loved Moore's play last night. I have loved him every snap he has ever taken with us. He reminds me of a young Jake Delhomme. Always full of energy and confident--having that attitude that he can make any pass.

That being said, I am not going to be surprised when Jake Delhomme has an amazing offseason and takes back the reigns next year. Knowing the kind of person Jake is, he is going to fully dedicate himself to football this offseason. He is too competitive and passionate about the game to go out this way.

I see any draft pick of a qb before the 4th/5th round as a waste of bringing in a talented skill or defensive player. Fox is always going to choose bringing in a veteran over drafting a clueless rookie.

No, Jake Delhomme is done.

I wouldn't describe Sunday night's game as a 'coming out party' for Moore, but I think the game showed his potential. He excelled in a tough game against a very good opponent who had everything to gain by winning. He had 3 TD passes with a fourth called back (I thought Smitty was interfered with, so the holding penalty should have been offset. The refs appeared to let a few pass interference calls go unflagged). Stewart was a beast. He got out of some sure sacks. I think the offense RESPONDED to Moore quite well, and made plays that I'm not sure they would have for Jake (like Barnidge's catch and run in the 4th quarter, dragging the 'tackler' 15 yards or so before going down. Man, that was sweet - reminded me of the great John Mackey for a moment).

The defense seemed to take some inspiration as well, and sure as heck weren't intimidated by the Vikings offense, especially Favre. They seemed to ENJOY being out there, especially after the forced the Vikes to abandon the run. The special teams didn't screw anything up (well, except for the block of Kasay's extra point attempt). I think this was the best performance of the year, and possibly the best of the past couple seasons (maybe the TB Monday Night game last year was just as good, I have no problem if that game is rated as such).

It was a good, fun night, and overall a good game to watch, especially when our guys poured it on in the 4th! The drive home Monday morn was oh-so sweet, and even the hangover was tolerable.

"You smell that? It smells like....VICTORY.."

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
