What other teams could be interested in Moore?

We are going to keep Moore.

He is going to lead us to the NFC championship against Dallas. It's a blowout.

Then the super bowl match up will be a 03 rematch.

It will be close until halftime, and then the panther hunger for revenge will be just too much for Brady.

Also this will be the year Smith officially gets in the HOF with a 1500+ 10+ TD season added to his already HOF status career.

That is all.

2.7 million not bad for a starting QB. Well worth it next season. If he starts to stink it up we wont be on the hook down the road. If someone signs him we get a 1st and 2nd rounder.

That wasn't as clear as I meant for it to be.

If we tender Moore at the 1st and 2nd round tender, no one will sign him to an offer sheet this offseason. If Moore tears it up next year, then we are stuck paying him primo dollars moving forward, or even risk losing him for nothing.

If we tender Moore at the 2nd round tender, someone may sign him to an offer sheet that takes into account the uncertainties with Moore and the fact that they have to give up a 2nd rounder to get him. We could then match that offer and have the starting QB locked up at more favorable contract for the next four or so years.

I dont really want anybody to pick him up and I dont want him to have a longterm contract. Reason i would put the 1st and 2nd on him. If some club is crazy enough to do it we have two primo draft picks. 3 years would be the max I would want him signed for right now.

Moore isnt leaving here, he has played well this year and he may be the only quarterback left on the roster, unless they decide to keep jake around for some reason due to loyalty to him... But Moore has been here for what three years sitting the bench learning the playbook, just waiting for his oportunity to step in and be the leader of this team. So he will be here next year.

Fair enough, but if he plays well next year then you are stuck paying him top dollar or risk losing him to FA (which rarely happens for a good QB unless they have injury concerns). Now is your chance to get a guy at a very affordable price.

Well if he lights it up I will be more than happy with that. Panthers usually reward their players good if that want to keep them longterm. Think they tore up Jakes contract after his first year.

I think people are overvaluing his performance so far, which is understandable with the poor QB play the Panthers have had the last few years. But no team is going to seriously go after him, as he would be a 2nd or 3rd string QB on any other team.

Moore is stayingn point blank. I am sure at this point Marty hurney is not going to let a stud inMatt Moore go like that. To me it seem some of you still have doubts about Moore been a consentant QB game after game. To me in these past 4 games espically agaist two good teams like the vikings and giants. That he can lead this team into the future as starter. To me Moore has proven to a starter in the league. He will be resigned period some of you band wagon fans can keep doubting. But me I am sure Moore can do the Job and he has proven it to us so far. He is mobile and has good vision down the field and good accurcy for the most part. The only bad thing I have seen out of Moore is sometime he floats the ball over the head of his WRs once in a while. Oh ya I forgot alll QBs do that once in a while. Even Mannning does that. It's part of the game. Moore will be resigned to a long term contract and will most likly be starter next year. If /jr knows whats good for his franchise in the future.

True.... most teams have backup QBs with QB ratings hovering around 100

Some of us are not willing to put the future on a QB that has only started 8 games. It will be different for Moore next year if he starts and I want to see how he handles it before the team gives him a long term contract.

I am sure everyone does. I am sure the panthers HO will not give him a 5 year 40 million just like that. They will most likely resign him to a 3 year 15 million dollar contract. There is no way in hell that the FO will allow another team to give him a offer sheet. They will resign him before then. But my problem on this site is people on here still don't believe Moore is that dam good. I mean my god the man for the past 2 weeks agaist 2 of the most talents defense in the league mange to only shredded them to pieces for 500 yards passing 6 TDs while only taking 1 sack in both games. And he was playing with a make shift oline with out gross and otah and without dwill in the backfield. Nothing agiast the beast stewart and steve smith went out in the 1 half with a broken arm in the Giants game. He still mange to shredd the giants in the second minus smith. Moore is our future. This is not a fluke like some people are thinking. This kid is for real. He will be starter by the start of next season fox are no fox.:sosp: So some of these people on here can just keep doubting if they want and just keep whining for the FO to draft a qb next draft. I for one have seen enough out Moore to prve he deserves to be the future starter for this team.
