Signs that Moore may start next year

This may fall into "tinfoil hat" territory, but it's worth considering.

Both on the Panthers site and on the Panthers Huddle TV program, you've seen positive items about Matt Moore and a willingness to discuss how badly Jake Delhomme played this year. Eugene Robinson even referred to Moore as a possible "star in the making".

The team is generally pretty careful and controlling of what goes on their official outlets, and the fact that they're running these sorts of things now makes me think they're ready for change.

Again, might be nothing, but it's possible.

There is a valid point in here. The Panthers PR machine will have to ween its customers off of Jake and on to Matt. It can''t be done overnight, but in small steps. Described here is a step.

Another step will be allowing the media to speculate that Jake has lost it and won't be starting anymore. Oh the horror!

You know, I think too many folks equate fans wanting Delhomme taking out of the starting role for his poor play to them not liking him as a person. I agree Delhomme is a class act, a standup guy, and a great role model to kids and other players. But having said that, he deserved to be benched long before he got hurt. 18 interceptions, 6 fumbles (3 lost)?? Come on... odds are the Panthers might have reached the playoffs if Moore was allowed to play earlier than he was. Granted, there are no guarantees of that, but all things being equal, they might have had a shot. Certainly, it would not have done any harm. I just hope there is a fair competition next training camp for the starting job, and Fox does not revert

    • I don't think it's a homer though when I really feel this team can beat anyone.  The points that can be scored in bunches when the big three are on has high potential.  Moose has effort for days and IMO is the heart of the team.  And didn't see Miles becoming the team "vet" in the starting lineup just roleplaying lol.   We have to limit the turnovers though (Brandon Miller I'm looking at you bud, you are a bad ball handler) and some little things.   Colby off the bench is a cheat code and him and Kaulk have a nice little game going with the picks.    Sion playing every game and just getting better each game.  He has grit.  Grant and Green also grit.  We need replace Tillman with PJ Hall though.  Tillman looks like someone that shouldn't be on an NBA court, or at least with this team, he's just too slow for this tempo.   Even McNeely looked decent tonight and can drive.   If Kaulk and Moose could even be like 30% 3pt shooters man....
    • 1.) LaMelo 2.) Kon 3.} Miller 4.. Giannis 5.) Moose   1.) Coby 2.) ? 3.) Sion 4.) Miles Bridges 5.) Kalk That squad would win multiple chips.
