:smilielol5: This has to be the funniest thing said in this thread. No, it's creating a rift with people like you & RB and that may not be a bad thing. :D

 I guess that is why ssssoooo many people trust Fox and want him back with an extension.

We are 15 years old. We're a teenager to most of the league, lol. Mr. Richardson has fielded a damn good team most of those years. I'm proud to be a Panther fan and totally support the team. I am proud that they do not weep in the streets, that our players & coaches are proud men who do accept responsibility and always work to get better and always act professionally.

A damn good team isn't 3 winning seasons out of 8. That is mediocrity which is the aura that surrounds this whole franchise. Like I said before, we look at 8-8 as "it is what it is". Winning don't mean that much to us because we're comfortable being average and safe.

And let's talk responsibility...who the hell is taking responsibility besides the players? The Delhomme massacre this year should let you know that we don't "work to get better" or take responsibility. We play with what we know and don't make any changes until we have nothing lose which is usually too late.

Nobody is advocating sweeping changes, but 8-8 is 8-8. No matter if we started 5-0 or 2-3...we went 12-4 last year and went 8-8 this year...this year was a failure! Let's compare our franchise to the one we're trying to emulate...the Steelers!

You guys do know that just because we get average seasons doesnt mean were content with it? I highly doubt anybody in this organisation is happy/okay with missing the playoffs.

And how do you know that? We could damn well be happy with being average. We suffered 8 seasons of inconsistency already.

Some quotes from Mike Tomlin on the season

(On momentum from last three games carrying over to next year) — "No, there is no carry-over. This body of work stands on its own. Next year's body of work is next year's body of work. We didn't carry over from last year, so it is what it is."

(On 3-game win streak) — "We have a singular goal every year and that's to be world champs. We understand that there are 32 teams going for it and there can only be one. I've been in this league nine years and seven times I've been disappointed. That's the reality of it. So if we're not that team, so be it. I'm not interested in correcting problems; I'm interested in pursuing Lombardi's, and hopefully winning them."

Big Ben

(On if winning the last game means anything to end the season) — "If this was the last one I'd rather we go out with a win than a loss. There's not much that we can do but I'm proud of the way we fought today and we played hard. It was a disappointing regular season so far but we'll see kind of what happens."

Now let's look at our team, the Carolina Panthers...

Chris Harris

"It's not what we wanted, but it's not a losing season, either,"

Jon Beason

(On what the season could have been if they could have avoided some of the more deflating defeats of the season's first few months.) "That's the frustrating part, the bittersweet part about it," linebacker Jon Beason said. "There were a couple of games along the way we'd like to have back. It just wasn't meant to be this year."

Jordan Gross

(On a season defined as much by the games that were missed by Panthers players as the ones actually played.) "He said a lot of people that shouldn't have gotten to play this year got to play," Gross said. "He was proud of how everybody did, that we finished extremely well, all the obvious stuff."

 Maybe some accountability by John Fox?

John Fox

"I don't have a lot of answers at this point other than I have a year remaining on my contract. I see myself being back here a year from now. That's just the way it is. It starts there and we'll move forward from that."

We have a different demeanor. Steelers win the last 3 games and are disappointed. We win the last 3 games and we're extremely happy. WTF?!?Stop making excuses for these bums. "We're a young franchise, not as bad as the Raiders/Browns, etc, etc, etc. Our organization needs to get a winning attitude...

And since the organization isn't creating a rift, why don't you guys who disagree with me tell me what John Fox is going to do to turn this season around. You know, since we KNOW things will get handled behind the scenes.

We could always be better! 3 Winning seasons in 8 years isn't all that great IMO...so what if we are 7-9 and 8-8? for the most part the panthers under Foxxy is a 500 team or worse but according to some I guess we shouldn't complain!

Okay. I take responsibility. Feel better?

I didn't think so.

Am I wasting my time reading this or does this part actually have a point

This has to be the funniest thing said in this thread. No, it's creating a rift with people like you & RB and that may not be a bad thing.

lol because what the panthers fanbase needs is more apologetic passive fans who just accept every issue with the team and indiscriminately dismiss them whether or not they deserve to be pardoned

Boy, you guys are so naive. Acting and sounding like spoiled 10 year olds too use to seeing the game of football through the eyes of their latest Madden game.

With which surviving neuron in your head did you figure wanting us to seriously evaluate head coaching in the offseason due to a failing system that hasn't pumped out a playoff win in four seasons or having a top team representative say anything that didn't make them sound like an autobot related to video gaming? "oh well it's just those dang kids and their newfangled computer games abuuurrrrrrrr" Really? Is that all you've got? You really thought you were taking this argument somewhere?

Even the big boy from New Jersey. RB, I thought you gave up on this team or at least this MB anyway? What changed your mind? The pounding the NYG took at the end of the season? Did you go post the same poo on the Vikings' MB's?

Well you see during the middle of the season I felt like I didn't need to comment so much on this pitiful display I was seeing to log on everyday so I just said if you don't see me post on here doesn't mean I quit being a fan. And the Eli Manning avatar was just me antagonizing unabashed stepford fans such as yourself so you could get all heated and start typing questions about team allegiance and all this bullshit that i don't care to entertain you by telling you what you want to hear.

What a retarded analogy. "oh we're a teenager poor us we're not an adult team or a senior citizen team" Let me ask you something, do teams die of old age? Did the Oilers logo have a stroke and that's why we haven't seen that name anymore? That "infancy of the franchise" mentality stopped being necessary a long time ago, and the sooner we figure out looking at it that way is ridiculously counterproductive the better off we'll be.

Richardson doesn't need to talk. As a matter of fact, in addition to owning half the team, John Mara is also CEO/TP, so he has added responsibility. But how about team president, Danny Morrison, whom we just hired 4 f**king months ago and whom none of us really know anything about come out and address the state of the team and do it competently without sounding like a T-800? Is that too f**king much to ask? How about expressing to the fans that they are who the franchise is trying to please every once in a while? How about clarifying their intentions and expressing that they like Fox because they truly think he is what's best for us and not for the wrong reasons, because personally, I'd really like to f**king know, and I know that may not sound like a big deal to people like you who've been desensitized by "1-15" and think anything better is just a big f**king elegant picnic, but it is a big deal to me.

Giants fans love the Mara/Tisch family because through the years they've always communicated with the fans and genuinely and personally treated them like a part of the team they respect. This, to say the least, is an area of the team this franchise falls flat on its face compared to some of the more respected franchises.

Yes sir, you are correct. I'm glad I'm not part of their families or one of their coworkers.

"oh well these people want this franchise to stop being so passive so they must be obnoxious asshole undesireables in every other dimension of their lives and i'm glad i don't know them. I don't agree with them, yep i'm rational that way"

    • It wasn’t completely his fault, but outside of two throws and one or two scrambles he didn’t do much to help. His accuracy was all over the place, numerous passes that were placed poorly and didn’t give the receiver a good chance to catch the ball or do anything with it after. He also continues to display terrible pocket awareness. Even the sacks could have been avoided, they weren’t immediate like the pressure we got on Shough at times. Bryce just often has no feel for pressure and stands there waiting to get sacked after numerous seconds have passed.
    • I really fuging hate this era in so many ways.  I look at those Adin Ross and Neon kids, and I just wonder why tf are they famous?  Why would anyone be desperate enough to gain THAT audience that they’d risk money, career, disciplinary action to go up there and associate with those fuging dweebs?  And back in my day, racist peers got their ass beat.  And not endorsing or approving bully culture, but checks and balances and all…  had those two been bullied, or at the very least humbled, they wouldn’t be famous and glorified for being the fuging idiots they are now.  It seriously pisses me off… they both have done and said multiple, openly racist stuff and major media keeps pushing them, talking about them, and propping them up… and then dummies like Puka who don’t need the platform or exposure lend their celebrity to them.  fuging idiot… and even the other streamers, I don’t get - Speed, Kai…  I don’t understand making nobodies famous at all, but there is at least entertainment value to some degree there, and I could see how young, impressionable kids would find them something to aspire to (sadly), or view as “cool.”  But Ross and Neon?  They’re just shitty, shitty nerds with big ass mouths. I’ve went back recently and watched some classics (in two very different eras and categories 😂)  like Robocop and Idiocracy.  And what I find fascinating is how both movies illustrate how stupid society became by showing what the citizenry is entertained by.  In both, society became anti-intellectual and the citizenry were entertained by lowest denominator, primal-type absurdity - poo like, “Ouch! My Balls!”  Or on Robocop, a guy is a watching a show where they are smashing cakes on ladies’ breasts and then a guy says a line as the camera zooms in like, “I’d buy that for a dollar!” and the audience thinks it’s hilarious.  That’s where I feel like we are now.  Like who watches that clip with Puka and thinks any of that poo is funny or cool?  If I was Puka, I’d honestly be wondering why tf I’m hanging out with these beta ass, racist, cretin ass weirdos.
    • 7 wins this year and some of those against really good teams and yall think Canales might get fired? Lol Good luck getting a better coach in here if that happens.
