How can you get an objective viewpoint on who is goinig to win when predictions are all subjective?

Not so much on who's gonna win; but what parts stack up well against the parts of the rest of the league; opposition. Just like you guys think you have the best running tandem in the league; I guarantee you there are many outsiders who think that is just a predicate of your system. Good to get outside points of views that's all.

Me saying we have the best running back tandem in the league would be me objectively saying so.

Fact: We're the only team in NFL history to have 2 1100 yard rushers in the same season. That stat shows that no 2 running backs have ever accomplished that on the same team.

Anyone that says the Panthers didn't have the best running back tandem in the league is being subjective.

I have a serious and legitimate question for our seemingly resident Saints fans.

Your team is in the Super Bowl, and yet you chose to hang out and argue about your team on a division rival's board. Why is that?

I would have thought you would either be on your own board discussing your team. Or, be visiting the Colts board to either talk smack or discuss the upcoming game against the fans of the team you will actually be playing in the SB.

Yet, you chose to continuously hang out here. Why is that?

Again, I don't mean this thread as smack or even sarcasm. I am just curious.

Because...if the Panthers were in the SB, I could guarantee you that there would not be a single Panthers fan from this board spending any time on the Saints board.

It's simple; we want to hear you guys' reaction to our posts, and hopefully get into a decent debate. We like to hear you guys' opinions, ok? Our own boards, particularly SR.com, you don't get objective or pessimistic posts like we do here. It's different in that way.

Why do you guys really feel so strongly the Colts will destroy us?

I personally think we lose, but cover the spread. But all the posts I've seen on here sound like we will get killed.

I think we have a better running game, and can possibly play the ball possession game with them; thus keeping it close. Brees nor Peyton will make mistakes so neither side will have a ton of turnovers (Bush can be the X factor either way, with big plays or fumbles). Peyton will get his; he will throw from anywhere from 280 to 320 yards the question is can we hold them to field goals. That being said, Brees will throw for similar yardage.

I don't think our D can lock them down, but am hoping so. So let me have it, why will the Colts win?

I just can't go against Manning. Hes been here, hes done it before. Basically playing any team but the Colts I would bet on the Saints. Its just...Manning.

And since when Mark Sanchez played for the defense?? We're talking about 'Aints's defense compare to Jets's defense. And Manning is way better than Brees.

Having 2 RBs making NFL history as being the only duo to make over 1,100 yards in a season is surely something one shouldn't ignore. Objectivity my good man, objectivity....if you'd leave your 5 mile radius that you travel every day, you'd know there is good in gaining outside perspective. Keeps things real. If all I did is post in the Saints board, I'd think we're gonna win by 50. (goes for any team by the way)

I go to many boards thru the year to gain....wait for it....objectivity. You guys know us the best, so I THOUGHT (and I underline thought) that I'd get an objective view on who will win. However, as evidenced by the past couple of weeks, you don't and won't get any objective discussion here about the Saints or the SB. The reason is that we don't have a horse in that race. That is the reason you get responses telling you to go away and bother the Colts. We are more inclined to discuss the past season by the Panthers.....possible offseason moves by the Panthers....etc.

Again, I am not being a smart-ass....just that if you are expecting objective discussion, you won't find it here. You will find good discussion and banter on the Colts boards.

I think this game is actually a bad matchup for the Saints. The Colts do what the Saints do, only better and/or more consistently. Both these teams have big play offenses and bend-don't-break defenses (but the Saints defense does more breaking than the Colts). It's possible that the Saints could actually score too fast for their own good in this game. You don't want to end up in a shoot-out with Peyton Manning, you will lose. If it turns into a back-and-forth scoring orgy, Manning will beat Brees (and every other QB in the NFL) 10 out of 10 times.

The Saints need to become a ball-control team for this game. They need to pound the rock and work the clock. If the Saints come out and score fast on the Colts, Manning will come out and score fast on them and if it continues that way the Saints will blink first.
