The thing is, it's bands like The Who or that bullshit auto tuned pop crap since that is what is "hot" today. I don't want a Hannah Montana super bowl.

me neither. but there many artists and bands out there that have made music within the last 20 years w/o autotune and voice effects. im 19 i don't listen to that sh*t

They're older than me. :) I remember seeing them in person when I was in college. They played their entire Tommy album plus. Three hour show. They weren't pussies like today's young groups. I love the Who!

my point is, why not have them on 10 years ago? its ridiculous. we have to talk about the in past tense for goodness sake

Because Clear Channel was putting on the halftime shows then instead of Bridgestone?? idk Did you complain about Paul McCartney too? He's even older.

Can you even remember who played 10 years ago? I can't.

actually i did. Springsteen wasn't half bad. and u just helped make my point. no i can't remember who preformed 10 years ago. but i think thats when the who should have. but complaining gets you (me) nowhere. but i hate it when people dismiss artists of today bc of most of the crap that gets played on the radio. there are lots of good artists are there today. and within this decade

Slow down, dman. I agree about the artists of today. I love new music, alternative & rock. My favorite right now is Cage The Elephant. But that doesn't mean the older artists should be dismissed either. How old do you think Alice In Chains or Pearl Jam or Metalica is? It's all good.

i know, i know. but Metalica i can remember metalica. they are still charting. the Who hasn't charted since the 80s. hell i love a Metalica SB halftime show
