3 Reasons why we can't let Peppers leave.

No it's not. You don't pay someone over 1.3 mil per game when they only give you 10.5 sacks.

rright, cause they only pass rush peppers and im sure other teams never have to game plan around him... IMO tag him again, if wer can trade him great if not then we have an elite DE for another year

No it's not. You don't pay someone over 1.3 mil per game when they only give you 10.5 sacks. That's ridiculous. You'd be paying him more than Peyton Manning's new contract (most likely), and who do you think benefits their respective team more? If we franchise him, there will be plenty less teams who would go after him simply because they wouldn't want to pick up that contract.

to be fair....Peppers did seem to step it up a notch this year after he admitted his effort was questionable.....he got 10.5 sacks w/ a broken hand mixed in there......Can't fault him for getting hurt. Realistically, Peppers put in some of his best games of his career in 2009. I don't care what the stats say, if Pep gave the effort he showed the majority of last year.....I would pay him 1.3 in an uncapped season considering the what he means to the defense.

    • We don't have to tear down Dak to appreciate what Bryce did yesterday. Dak had 0 running game. If the cowboys were better, he'd be a legit MVP candidate if he keeps playing this way.  They did it with Ceedee last year, but they do a better job of anybody we play consistently of getting their best receiver off Jaycee.  Bryce was good too. If we just catch the ball that was intercepted, we probably win by 7+, and Bryce goes over 200 yards passing.  Biggest shift the last few weeks has been play calling. I thought Canales abandoned the run game way to early at times last year. This year he really seems to be sticking with it.  I still think Chuba is better at making 4 yards when there's nothing there, but Rico is better at making 30 yards when there's 6 there. I like the direction. Hopefully we can get Moton, Sanders and Coker back and really be dangerous. Our play action game is pretty deadly right now.  Unrelated: My favorite quality about Bryce right now is his ability to see the defensive hold and throw the ball there. He EXPOSES the officials when they don't call it. That one on Tetaroia yesterday late in the game was a bad miss on their part.
    • That sacks allowed number lookin juicy!
    • This is a game the Panthers should win... just the sort of game they lose. The Panthers have a bad habit that goes back years of playing down to the competition's level only to mess around and lose the game. The Jets game should be taken very seriously! But I want to enjoy the fact that they beat the Cowboys for at least another day or so!
