Antonio Bryant will become a free agent

I'd like for the FO to take a chance on Bryant but only if the money was right. I don't think they will more so cuz of his past character issues.

haha I don't mind spending a little money to get him. he's a good proven receiver, and we have quite a large amount of $$ to spend with Peppers walking. and as for character issues, Smith will smack em up a bit(literally? ) to keep him in line.

if we picked him up, we might be able to address other needs with our 2nd round pick rather than a WR.

Yeah I get your point, but keep in mind most of that money they save from Peppers is gonna be used on players currently on our roster. It'd be nice to see him paired up with Smitty though.

Yeah I know, but the thing is it's not like Bryant is going to require some giant contract. He could probably be had for a great deal, I mean TJ Housh was worth more than Bryant currently is, and Housh is only making $7 million this year. We can easily afford to sign him and still have room left to get Davis/etc signed.

He would be a hefty price tag. However he and Smith would do some heavy damage. Couldn't afford to double team either of them if they're on the field at the same time.

Hell yeah It'd be like covering Boldin & Fitzgerald. Damn we still gotta wait another week for free agency to start I'm getting anxious. Though at the same time I'm not gonna hold my breath.

Hmm I dunno I think it could be better than Boldin and Fitzgerald. I think Bryant is a bigger play maker than Boldin. Plus it would make our running game much more dangerous.

I would be fine with getting Bryant if he isn't expensive to keep. With how we're not paying to tag Pep, maybe we can have some salary left to sign Bryant once we signed Moore & others first. Maybe then we can get a DE or something on our first pick in the Draft instead of a WR.
