Free Agency 2010

Mr. Scot

I don't think Anderson would make the ideal "veteran backup" we need.

I think the term Veteran has taken on a whole new meaning on our team. When people consider Beason (3 yrs exp) and Dwill (4 yrs exp) veterans you know you have a young team.

I think it's conceivable Brayton and Marshall both wind up back here after getting to see their market value with other teams.

I agree, Mr. Scot.

I think the FO has always hoped a number of our FA's will still be available later on at a lower rate.

Chiefs got Ryan Lilja.

The Chiefs may surprise some people this year. They also signed Thomas Davis and Chris Chambers, and the draft is rich with defensive linemen and linebackers, the best of which will be available to the Chiefs when they make their selection.

RE: Derek Anderson

With the weapons Jamal Lewis and Braylon Edwards, Anderson far exceeded expectations. When both were out, he had no one to work with but Joshua Cribbs, who was a great return man, but only a decent receiver so far. Minus the Browns' only studs, opponents simply dismantled the Browns offense.

Which QB in the NFL can pass/hand-off to no-names, and continue to produce?

Derek Anderson is better than almost all of his former teammates. Cleveland made a terrible mistake releasing him. They will find this out when he goes to a well-balanced team and starts kicking asses and taking names. Mark my words, it will happen.
