Fox let something slip about the linebacker position next year.

So now Connor is an 3-4 LB, though he has never played in the 3-4? Nice.

Keep up the good work.

Anyways, I don't see them moving Davis again ~ he excelled where he was.

The competition will be for the otherside.

Connor is a smart player, and while he may not have the speed many covent, he could prolly play every lb position ~ just not at the same time. He's a smart kid. Anderson also showed us why the Panthers were happy to pick him several years ago. Will be a good competition for the other starting spot.

Connor at ILB in a 3-4 would be a great fit. I don't know why it's such a bizzare idea that a player would fit better somewhere in the NFL than he did in college. It happens every year.

players in college project to play different positions in the pros. for example, there are like five 3-4 defenses in the college ranks, yet tons of 4-3 players are projected to make the switch after the draft.

for more information about this, i'd suggest nfl.com/kids

!oO! Projection! That makes you an expert on....kaka.

That is not what I was saying. I was just being sarcastic about somebody stating that Conner would be a great 3-4 LB though he's never played. I have no doubt he could play any LB position, regardless of the defense ~ reason I believe that is cause he's a smart player, that commits himself. That being said, he's never taken a single snap as an ILB in a 3-4.

His comfort is in a 4-3.

    • McConkey is such a better player than XL that it isn't out of the question that he'd have improved us by 1 win last year, which would have dropped us to 10th or 11th in the draft.  If we fell to 11th behind SF, they probably take him as they were heavily rumored to want him.  2 more wins and we fall to 11th or 12th, if we are 12th behind both the 49ers and Cowboys, then he's 100% taken by one of them. Also, drafting McConkey wouldn't have stopped us from getting Coker as an UDFA. So even if he was on the board when we were on the clock, I'm not sure we're taking him over a defensive player given how bad the defense was last year.  Part of why he was always the pick for me was that we had no legitimate long term WR option at the time, having McConkey changes that and makes going defense much more feasible.
    • Or a statue of him in a golf cart and you can sit next to him
    • I've said many times that if I had known in high school that long snapper was an NFL position I would have practiced that every day and did all could to get that contract. Sure the money is not starting QB level, but it is life changing and if you manage it right you and your kids will be set for life. Not to mention you have access to the highest level of medical staff. Plus, by rule, they can't hit you.
