I posted on Saturday that Hoover was next. I guess I was right even when I didn't want to be. Wow, this is a clear indication that Richardson is righting whatever wrong he thinks he needs. But... to even put a team on the field next year we still need at least 1 QB, 1WR, and 1DE to at least feel like we can compete. This is my prediction for Carolina:

They will sign Josh McNown again and draft a QB later in the draft

They will sign Torry Holt (Moose reincarnated)

They will sign Marquis Daniels and look for a hometown discount since he and his wife own a business here in Charlotte.

They will then sign a few under the radar folks that won't break the bank and go into next year with a weaker schedule and hope that will be enough to compete at higher level. This may be the first year that not a lot of people around here will be very excited about camp unless you like to see the young people get after it!

It's Josh McCown, btw...

Anywho, I don't see them going for Torry Holt. He is too old and the Panthers are obviously unhappy with the older guys this year. I still believe they'll be looking for a young WR via the draft. They may even like what they saw from Jarrett this year. I don't think the front office cares too much about any of the remaining free agents on the market, unless no other teams are interested or they can just get a heck of a deal.

    • Winning games and be a +500 team are good. But the goal is to win Super Bowl.  Chiefs had Alex Smith, went to playoff twice and still replaced him.   BY as of now: - To many fumbles - Completion in the intermediate range is just far below acceptable - Not enough of a deep throw threat....   The stats you try use is deceiving.  Catchable......  That is an opinion. Show me the completion %. And also, how does BY compare to other QBs using the stats you cited. Oh... ranked at 27

    • The Entitlement Paradox: When Winning Isn't Enough for Panther fans.    Just the other season(s) we were praying for wins by any means. Brought in every run of the mill QB you could think of.  We know all sides of the ball was bad like egregious bad. However some how we have won 5 games and TOXIC ENTITLEMENT has emerged.    We are a team that has to take wins by anymeans nothing has changed. Keep pounding means it aint gonna be perfect!!    Some panther fans have now developed a toxic entitlement where even victories feel insufficient, demanding flawless performance, or perfection, which stems from historical success in which we dont have any lol. This mindset poisons communities by fostering relentless criticism, harassment, and ingratitude that undermine team morale and alienate casual supporters. For the new Carolina Panthers, this could manifest as fans booing Bryce Young after gritty wins for low passing yards despite low turnovers, pressuring tepper into premature changes mid-rebuild, or driving away talent through online abuse!! eroding the positive momentum from their recent 4-game streak has brought us. Trust and believe the players do see your toxicity.    Anyways here are some positive stats.      Most Accurate QB on... 20+ Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (79.2%) 2. Sam Darnold (79.2%) 3. Bryce Young (75.0%) 10-19 Yard Throws 1. Jaxson Dart (88.0%) 2. Jayden Daniels (82.9%) 3. Drake Maye (80.7%) 0-9 Yard Throws 1. Drake Maye (92.9%) 2. Spencer Rattler (92.6%) 3. Bryce Young (91.7%) @FantasyPtsData
