Player Highlight Videos: Wide Receivers

I still think one of the top defensive guys (Weatherspoon, or a DE) slides to the early second where nobody is projecting them to be available...

If so, I think we'll move up with someone like KC (for next year's first, of course) and snag him...

That said, WR is still the biggest hole on the team (aside from depth at LB)... and we will be taking one within our first three picks of the draft...

The good news is, I think we have a great shot at actually having three picks in the second round... Ours (#48), someone else's for Richard Marshall (Baltimore, Cleveland, and Minnesota lead my list of potential teams interested), and another one in the top of the second (after trading our 2011 first rounder)...

We could get a WR, an LB, and a DE (our three biggest needs in my opinion) right there where the talent pool for those positions will still be pretty deep... Then we could use our 3rd on another WR if we chose to, or even a QB (I'm starting to think we'll actually draft one pretty early on this year)...

It is an exciting time given our possibilities, but whether or not the team actually takes those chances and runs with them remains to be seen...

I wish they had kept Jeremy Leman... That guy was a beast in pre-season!

Panthers offensive coordinator Jeff Davidson, wide receivers coach Tyke Tolbert and GM Marty Hurney were all on hand to direct a 30-minute workout with WR Taylor Price (6-feet 3/8, 202 pounds), who stood on all of his numbers from the Scouting Combine but ran position drills and caught passes from Ohio University QBs Brandon Jones and Theodis Scott.

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
