Donovan McNabb

Philly still needs that #1 guy IMO.

Boldin is a FA this year I think.

He would be a good fit.

As much as I'd love to have him in Eagles green. I know it will never happen. The Eagles FO is a firm believer that you don't need a superstar WR in this offense. He will demand top dollar and the Eagles will most likely look to spend that on the offensive line.

I love how ONLY Philly fans give their athletes grief. Anyone remember how Eli Manning was treated in NY before the Giants won the Super Bowl? Anyone?

BTW Panther fans kill Jake Delhome on a routine basis. But this only happens in Philly, right?

If McNabb had either

A) A #1 guy (Fitz/Boldin/Moss/Smith)

or

B) A city that wasnt mean as f*ck he would be easily in talks with Manning/Brady as the best in the NFL.

I think Philly errodes peoples will, espcially people who aren't born there.

So NY doesn't do any of that, right? Wasn't Eli Manning booed on draft day too? Everyone just forgets about that.

Very good point. It's not like Coughlin wasn't "Dead Man Walking" before the playoffs last year either.

Exactly, people in NY wanted Coughlin gone. NY, Boston, and Philadelphia demand a lot from their sports teams. That is the way it is up there.

Only 1 QB has gone into the Meadowlands and defeated the defending champs this season. Donovan McNabb. He has now done it TWICE and is about to punch a ticket to the 5th NFC Championship game of his career. I wonder does today's divisional round win on the road count as a "BIG GAME" for those who say McNabb chokes in big games?

I am a McNabb fan but we owe those two wins to our defense much more than to McNabb honestly. I am glad he is our QB though.

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
