I like Arthur Jones a lot, but I think DE is bigger of a need than DT. Love the Damian Williams pick.. in fact that is exactly who I think we will get. Also, like Skelton but I would rather have LeFevour in the 3rd.

I just dont see a Defensive end falling to us that can make an impact for us. We have done enough building for the future, this year its time to get impact guys.

we just lost our biggest impact guy who plays DE. I agree where we are is akward place to pick one but I would rather reach for a DE than draft Matt Moore's backup.

Even Arthur Jones wouldn't start immediately over who we have now.

Theres no gurantee he'd start over who we have now but at the same time Brown couldnt even start over Brayton in his first year, so dont fool yourself into thinking we can get an end in this draft that will start over brayton/Johnson

The whole point in trading this years first, was in anticipation of losing peppers. If we get a defensive end for that purpose then we would have to trade back into the first round again to make it worthwhile. I'm not 100% against that, as long as we get an impact w.r

I don't think we will get a DE in the 3rd that will start over Brayton/Brown/CJ either.. but we only have 3 quality DE's and 5 quality DT's.. I don't count Hylee Taylor or Derek Landri quality. So taking that into account, the DE is far more of a need than DT at this point for depth purposes. We will not find a starter for any position in the 3rd round more than likely.

IDK if Williams will be there. Even if he is it will be interesting to see if the panthers will take another USC WR.

I did a full 3 round mock draft.. and according to that, we will almost definitely have a shot at a Damian Williams.. and we even have a pretty good shot at Arrelious Benn as well.. I believe the WR's will fall in this draft. It will be interesting to see who we pick if both of these guys are still on the board.

I think Demaryius Thomas gets taken by the Bucs at the top of the 2nd round.

    • I have been looking for a dropped pass list and all that comes up is QBs. And team stats. When I do receivers I get the passing stats for a handful that threw passes this year.    I wanted to be accurate but anyhow I was looking because thought I remembered reading where T Mac had more drops than XL this year.  One of you many smarter than me people here,I would appreciate it if you know how to pull that up, please do. Thank you.    And yeah I know that isn’t all there is to it I just thought it was interesting.  Of course what the hell is a drop lol.
    • I agree with this and I think it's worth mentioning too that Bryce is not consistent on his placement and especially velocity and that in large part is driven by his footwork. We all know XL doesn't have the best hands and I don't know that he can overcome that. Cam always had the heater that just hit your hands and sank into your grip, where Bryce has some that are harder thrown, some soft. Bryce stepping into a pass looks so much different than that hop throw thing he does. I think XL really needs to hit the jugs machine and start learning how to catch all these different touch passes. TMac and Coker don't have these issues. If XL doesn't get some work in he's going to be out of the league in the next couple of years.
    • I think most people like XL from a personal standpoint. I don't think he's stupid either. Although if we are being realistic he is lacking in football IQ at this point in time and it cannot be disputed that he has not taken working on his craft seriously at all times given the body of work on the field. It speaks for itself. I myself have defended him at times given the circumstances of our QB room. But he is now in his third year and 25 years old. We are not in a position as a franchise to go around babying anyone especially first round draft picks. He needs to take his position and his football career seriously or he is going to end up selling used cars somewhere. I hope he realizes this and takes an extended break from social media because that mess certainly isn't going to increase his net worth if he ends up out of the league. And these hanger on types will disappear quick too once that money dries up and it surely will eventually. We'll see how he responds.
