Game 81: Bobcats@Nets

Tonight our Mighty Bobcats are in the Garden State. And oh what a beautiful garden it is! :D The New Jersey Nets have had the Bobcats # this season. Beating us the last 2 times we've faced them. Led by young big man Brook Lopez, Devin Harris, Courtney Lee, & young rookie T Williams, the Nets have had one of the worst seasons in NBA history. Dealing with so many losses, a change in ownership, and an eminent move to Brooklyn NY in the next coming years has got to be tough on these guys. But for whatever reason, it hasnt seemed to faze them when they face us. The Bobs have struggled on the road all season long, and the Nets seem to match up very well with us, we need all star performances by G-Force & Jax to have a shot. A win tonight evens the season series and gives us a big road victory to go into the playoffs on. GO BOBCATS!!!

“Winning is not the most important thing right now, but at the same time, we want to still be solid. We want to go out there and play well, we want to go out there and respect the game and play the game the right way and go into the playoffs feeling good about the way we’ve been playing.”

Gerald Wallace will likely be held out of Monday's game due to a shoulder injury.

Larry Brown plans on sitting him down tonight, while Tyrus Thomas is expected to be back in action for the Bobcats. Get Wallace on your bench for Monday's game, and watch for news on his status for Wednesday's finale. Brown is going to rest Wallace against the Nets, but also said if there are playoff implications for Wednesday against Chicago, he'll play his starters if possible.

    • It's definitely a historical issue at QB but to be perfectly blunt, we also don't do a good job of really developing almost any position if you look at the last decade or so. I tend to be on the side of that being far less a development issue than an evaluation deficiency.  I think we are in the situation at QB2/3 recently due to the overall roster being absolutely abhorrent and the QB classes being quite thin. It is harder to justify another Matt Corral(or several) when you can potentially get a real two deep contributor at other positions.  But, it was a lot of hard work to get to the point where are roster is so incredibly bad that luxury picks literally are not in our vocabulary.  This is the reaping what you sow portion of our history.
    • That is what I meant about our front office. They are like someone filling out a March Madness bracket based on preference of uniform colors and mascots. There's no rhyme of reason to some of these fugg'n mind numbing decisions they make.  They go all in on these flimsy-@ss prospects and are gun shy when it comes to more solid prospects.  It's literally maddening and the reason I stopped being so emotionally involved in this team. Heck the only reason I'm active on the board today is one, it's my day off and two, it's cut down time.
