Anybody else disgusted with Richardson?

Ok. I have try to hold off on judging. I have tried to keep a positive outlook. But it is becoming painfully obvious that the owners and lockout and CBA are priority now for Richardson, more so than fielding a playoff contender. We have not been under the radar in free agency , we have been nonexistent. We have watched several decent free agents go to other teams for very reasonable compensation. We have watched the Superbowl Champs from our division remain virtually intact and actually add pieces to their defense. Not to be a negative puke but I don't see anyway we contend next year. It makes it hard to even look forward to the season. And the worst thing is that with all the money JR has saved this year that he is I guess just going to sit on, we could have gotten better.

How does everyone else feel. Has anyone emailed front office or is there anyway to let Richardson know how you feel, not that he gives a shat.

It pisses me off, especially watching the Bobcats swing trade after trade until they got better and are now in playoffs. At least it shows the are trying to win.

nope. i'm actually quite happy with the way we are operating. We have a metric sh*tload of players to re-sign in the next two seasons and we have no idea how the new CBA is going to work out. This is smart. The only serious downgrade we've had is at DE. This is a good team. We need a receiver and some depth. That's about it.

i dont know if he is not trying to win, but this is the most inactive i have seen this fo with the amount of holes we have to fill. Even steve smith (the local panther god) said as of right now we are down. alex brown would have been an nice addition. antonio bryant, maybe even b marsh. i dont see us getting the same impact out of a rookie this year. we have set ourselves up so that we almost have to hit on every draft pick this year. this is where most of our depth and even some starters will have to come from. that is a scary position, especially after how much of a crap shoot the draft. is.

JR is the main reason we have a team in Charlotte....The man wants to win and has always spent the close to the maximum allowed under the salary cap. I don't fully understand what is going on this season - but I trust Richardson is doing what is best for the Panther's organization. It will be a long long time before I have anything negative to say about the man who brought the NFL to the Carolina's.

this will be a problem down the road i think. there is now way we keep all our young stars! beason, kalil, td otah, stewart, dwill, matt moore. someone will be gone in the next 2 years. funny that the message is that we want to lock up our young core but they know there is no way we lock up all these guys.

This reminds me of what Frank and Buck said the other day.

They said having played for Mr Richardson they know he is a man who is going to do whatever it takes to win. He is not cheap, and never will be. "Tanking" a season is not an option for him, ever. He didn't get to where he is by making bad decisions.

This coming from guys who have worked for JR and have both been vocal about the lack of activity.

    • He does have speed. 21+ top end speed is very fast for a linebacker and his 3 cone drill time is considered excellent, close to elite.
    • This is awesome because you get to see the perspectives of the scouts--get a glimpse behind the curtain. I wonder whose doing this was; I am curious as to why David Tepper allowed it. Maybe it was his wife. Maybe Dan.  At least from my perspective--and probably one shared by other fans--when David Tepper bought the team, he closed everything off too much to the fans, and really didn't give an explanation. Things were obviously done because he (and/or some others wanted to do it). Remember when they used the guise of construction and all that to keep fans from seeing the team during practice? I know there are laws and safety and all that, but Tepper could've made it happen. And, of course, we all know that they essentially fired Jeremy from his independent contractor gig as a photojournalist. I never understood why they'd do that (and the negative reverberations obviously affected Jeremy and ultimately this place--i.e, us fans). The pie was (and is) certainly big enough to throw some scraps to the independents. I realize that you can't necessarily open the floodgates, but a few different perspectives from indy journalists whether in word or photos is a good thing in my mind.  So, it's great to see different perspectives. I will say this however: it is not without risk, as you know there will be some buster who will be calling the scouts out if the players flop. I think we should all keep in mind that the buck stops with the GM. It's nice to have one, however, that is so convicted in his people and process--and ultimately success, that he's willing to give fans access to this type of information. Pass this on to Tepper.
    • I hope he ends up being our best ever at the position. Ryan Kalil left big shoes behind that we haven't quite been able to fill since.
