Whats up with Gantts picture in that blog? Seems like he is crying? Or is it always like that??

They must have taken that pic after the Panthers drafted Armanti Edwards. Gantt looks like a proud papa who's son just got drafted, we all know how much he loves Armanti.

I'm kinda getting a little annoyed with that. It was fine when we hadn't drafted him yet but now that he's a panther he could turn down the bias.

Smitty made the rook buy a whole 12-pack of soda? Awesome hazing, right there!

No doubt. He sure did take his lumps.

Jimmy Clausen: "Here's your Cactus drink Mr. Smith."

Steve Smith: "Umm. Thanks man. I didn't really... "

Jimmy Clausen: "Would you like me to get some ice and a glass. Maybe pour it for you? Would you like a back rub? Maybe I can scrub you down in the locker room shower later?"

Steve Smith: "....."

What a stupid article.

I was expecting something like they tied him up to a goal post with nothing but speedos on. THAT would have been some good hazing.

that sounds good. i want one.

Kola Champagne... go to the Food Lion in the most latino area of Charlotte or wherever you live, and look on the mexican aisle.

Inca Kola (when ice cold) is also pretty good

If you see a row of small green glass bottles with the soda named "Ting" get a poo load of that- it is Jamaican sparkling grapefruit soda (not too strong) and it is drop-dead-gorgeous good.

There are others as well

tie him up and beat him with a tire iron. teach him that it's not cool to hit on someone of the same sex, and that if he beats out Moore, he better produce or he'll get a bullet between the eyes. f*ckin' mob style, know what i'm sayin'???

I'm sure those type of things (and worse) are coming. Mini camp is just now starting, and there's still lot's of time for rookie hazing "shenanigans"...:reddevil:

    • I mean, in theory Bryce could get over the hump. That aside, you have to know that due to the situation we are going to give him another year. From some perspectives, it just makes sense. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with it, but it's not like the draft is chock full of franchise QBs. I'm thinking that only one, the consensus top pick, is destined to be the only one in this draft (and some people don't believe in him). All we can do is sure up the room with an FA (Pickett) and take a swing or two and hope (maybe the dawg Pavia). 2027 should bring better options if it comes to that.
    • Let's be honest here. We have one WR on this team that would be in the top 3 of ANY other team. And he was a rookie last year. I love Coker but he is an often injured UDFA. He wouldn't have even gotten a chance on other teams. The rookie injury would have bounced him around the league for the next 5 years until he stopped trying to make a roster. It's a numbers game for most teams and he would have (at best) been on some team's practice squad. But Carolina has been so devoid of talent at the position, that we didn't have much of a choice. Bryce leaves a lot of questions but to say he hasn't elevated anyone isn't true. No WR has left Carolina since he's started and did better on another team. Not one. And there are several to choose from. Coincidence? Maybe. Probably not.
