I really want the Suns to win....and am picking the upset. The Suns' energy prevails and Suns win in five.

*Note I was going to pick the Lakers until I heard Bynum was hurt. That makes the difference for me

There are also rumblings that Phil will retire after this season. If he does thats real bad news for the Lake Show. Last time that happened, they ended up missing the playoffs the next year and had to beg him to come back.

Wasn't that also the same year the Lakers lost their #2 player in shaq.... And they didn't win again until they got another #2.... Just saying... maybe it's the players... Shaq and Wade won

I am not sure he had too. He was just feeling good so why take it out of his hands. The Lakers bench scored a good amount too. So it is not like they relied on Kobe. He was just hot.

I know they didn't rely on him, and I know he was playing well, but I still think it's indicative of what is to come: Kobe having to get it done while others watch. Kobe is lucky to have Gasol, as just from watching their games (not going on stats) the other players are very unreliable (offensively, at least). Well, maybe not Fisher as much, but I'd like to see Brown more anyway.

Once again #24 showed why he is the best post season player in the NBA. 40/5/5 in just 35 minutes. Expect a similar effort game 2.

Pau Gasol was also in top playoff form going 21/4/5 on 10 of 13 shooting.

Honorable mention goes to Shannon Brown for going 3-6 shooting with perhaps the greatest "miss" in NBA Playoff history.

I hope Shannon filed a flight plan for this attempt with the FAA.

Not much to say about this game. Maybe the Suns can make it a series by wining game 2.

I'm sure they feel they need to. They should, cause if they're down 0-2 against LA, they know Lakers could steal one in Phoenix.

Btw, I love your avatar. Jordan is so fuging hot. She's my favorite LC

    • I hope not. 3rd-5th round QB's are historically awful. Most of the time that team is just drafting another QB in the first the following year. Look at the Saints, if they continue to suck this year they are just taking a QB. And if they do they just threw away a 2nd round pick that they just drafted. We did the same poo with Clausen, Greer, Pike, that guy we drafted a few years ago who is so irrelevant I forgot his name...  Just take a 1st round QB if Bryce isn't the answer and be prepared to live with it
    • This reminds me on Madden where you create an alternate uniform and the pre-recorded voice overs talk about how hideous your uniform looks. 🤣
    • There are people on this forum that just want to see a lot of passing yards....number go up. That's all it is, really. They are thirsting for a 350-400 yard game. The idea that Jameis Winston is going to come in and play like a star and lead us to wins is ludacris. He's the 3rd fuging string for a 2-5 team and has played horrible for years now. Sure, passing numbers will go up but you'll also get a lot of dumb plays, pick 6's, and incompletions en route to a frustrating bad offensive performance, just in a different way. I think these people are yearning for another Delhomme situation, and the odds of that happening are very very slim. It's way more likely Howell or Jameis comes in and looks like Jack Plummer or Andy Dalton did in the preseason. There just isn't that much good quarterbacking in this league right now. And if we draft another QB in the first round, there is a good chance they bust. It's not a guaranteed carrot. The reality is, as mediocre as Bryce has been, the risk of bringing someone else in in-season and releasing Bryce becuase you aren't happy with his current performance is staggeringly high. Don't want to re-up his contract and search for a solution in the offseason? Sure, I'm on board. Bryce hasn't been good enough to warrant a second contract. But It is very. very unlikely that bringing someone else in midseason is going to give this team more wins.
