Celtics gonna F around and let Orlando win this series....

Yep. Alot of the Celtics key role players are getting injured, and I think the Magic have settled down and gotten it together. This is the Magic team i expected in the first 3 games.

This has been a disgusting half of basketball.

That 2nd Tech was one of the worst calls I have ever seen.

True, but it's quite simple for Perkins: control yourself. He wouldn't have been in that situation if he hadn't freaked out anyway. To be honest, I'm tired of seeing any player bitch about foul calls. It's pathetic and it does little to change what gets called on you - in fact, it likely exacerbates it no matter what attitude you have. The first technical on him was a mistake, but an honest one. I think the second technical was a mistake but there is no excuse for bad officiating, but likewise, bad officiating is no excuse for losing (your cool, or the game).

Julius Peppers at the Orlando game? Interesting.

It's funny; I posted this at the same time as the dude before me. I guess we saw the same glimpse. :P

Also, I just gained a lot of respect for Doc Rivers. He handled the reporters question about the technicals on Perkins with excellence. He made no excuses and realized that the officials were not out to get them. He blamed no one but the Celtics. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a coach subtly hint that the officials were a part of why they lost.

Oh boy Boston why do I smell a debacle? A hot shooting Orlando team is an incredibly dangerous team. Heck the Bobcats probably would have won the first three games the Celts one. This is why the NBA playoffs are great. It gives each team a chance to prove their real worth instead of just getting lucky one game.

I'm rooting hard for the Suns all the way.

    • The meat and potatoes: Out of 30 qualifying QBs in Week 1, Young ranked: Dead last in EPA (-0.60) Dead last in success rate (20%) Dead last in Y/A at 3.6 Dead last in passer rating at 27.5 How are you averaging just 3.6 Y/A on unpressured dropbacks in the first half of a game? Thinking back to that halftime deficit, I’m reminded of this stat: The Panthers led at halftime in three of Young’s 12 starts last year. They are now 0 for 1 this year. In his 29 career starts, the Panthers have led at halftime in 5 of 29 (17%). Since 2000, there have been 37 QBs to start at least 25 games in their first two years in the NFL. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than six of his starts. Young is the ONLY QB to lead at halftime in fewer than 20% of his starts. So many people were backing Young based on the super small sample at the end of the year when they thought he played better, and he did play moderately better. But even in those games, he delivered average stats against the NFL’s easiest schedule of pass defenses to close the year, with every opponent ranking 20th or worse. There’s never been a QB who rebounded from performance like Young delivered in his first couple of years to go on to become a franchise quarterback. Some stay around as a journeyman, but they don’t lead teams. The Panthers put all their eggs in the Young basket this offseason. The Panthers were the darlings to win the NFC South by many. Yes, it’s only one game, and there certainly are opportunities to improve.   The opportunity is to start someone else at QB.   I don’t want to see anymore debate in whether Bryce is the worst QB ever.  Especially not the worst #1 overall pick ever.  What a fuging bust.
