Only 3 teams have older stadiums than us w/no renovation plans

Recommended Posts

Bank of America Stadium is the 13th oldest stadium in the league, but 10 of those have either received extremely major renovations or are getting ready to or are getting ready to move into a new stadium.

Only Buffalo (1973), Jacksonville, St. Louis (1995) have older stadiums with no real upgrade plans in the works.

What do you think will be in the works for us in the next decade? Major stadium renovations or a new stadium?

It was state of the art when it was made. Considering how long it took JR to shell out some dough for an incredibly modest big screen I don't see any renovations coming.

Seriously the big screen is small. I've only been to one game since it was redone and it's stanky.

Not really sure what needs to be updated. Maybe a Godzillatron like UT has? Not really necessary but OK.

The clubs are nice, the box seats plentiful and I can't think of a section that's just dreadful to sit in. The stadium isn't any kind of forward thinking architectural masterpiece, but nothing in Charlotte really is. Can't think of much reason at all to change much.

BOFA is still state of the art...I honestly can't see anything happening here for at least another 20 years...look at Atlantas shithole...they upgraded the Club Level and put some new seats in....Katrina made New Orleans dome more modern...if it were not for that then they would have done the same as Atlanta...just upgraded the interior....in other words...why change what is already good?

Update the horrendous TV's around the pavilions.

Just put in a LED strip on either side of the stadium and a bigger jumbotron.

Stadium is in great shape and always clean.

But feel free to keep bitching about something else that is pointless SMF. You are most amusing.

    • Why would we not be contenders? As long as Bryce plays like he did when he came back, we absolutely can be contenders...that is...   if the defense plays better... which is why adding someone like Ramsey when we have a QB on a rookie deal and can afford it makes sense IMO. No one thought of the Commanders being contenders last year or the Texans the year before and so on and so forth. Top-end QB play, especially for a guy on a rookie deal, changes everything in terms of timelines. Regardless of what this board thinks, I hope the front office is willing to he aggressive in thks window we currently have with a rookie QB deal
    • Would absolutely love to have him. I dont think he would require more than a 5th rounder. The biggest thing with his contract is the amount of guaranteed money. As long as they can work out and scenario where the Panthers aren't on the hook for a lot of that, I think it's a no-brainer. The Panthers can come up with $20M at the drop of a hat with restructuring Moton's contract, so there definitely isn't an issue from a money perspective. Jaycee paired with Ramsey along with Mike Jack would give us one of the best CB groups in the league. The one caveat I see is that safety still remains our biggest current weakness. We need a starting caliber S more than CB, simply put. But adding someone like Ramsey would be amazing as long as the compensation made sense. Ramsey could also play for FS snaps also. I also dont understand this nonsense about being seasons away. We have a QB on a rookie deal who was playing at an elite level to end last season. Within reason, now is absolutely the time to make moves like trading for Ramsey.
    • He'd be a huge upgrade for this year, but we're still not going to be contenders with him and I'd rather keep the cap space to roll into next season to spend on a younger player who can be an impact starter for us for the next 3-5 years while we're hoping to contend.
