Almost every day, Monday through Thursday, since the Panthers' offseason strength and conditioning program began on March 15, a maroon Ford F-150 pick-up truck with an Oregon State license plate frame has been the first vehicle parked along the sidewalk leading to the entrance of Bank of America Stadium.

That car belongs to quarterback Matt Moore, and his early arrival is just one way he has set an example since becoming Carolina's projected starting quarterback. He has eagerly embraced the heightened leadership role he has undertaken.

"It's something that I like, and being a quarterback it comes with the position," Moore said. "The whole leadership thing is being here, getting your work in, being accountable and working with guys and moving in a positive direction. Those are the things I've been trying to do."

Some seem to think that we can tell who will start by the Panthers.com articles..still seems like they are on the Moore train to me.

Great article. I have a lot of confidence in Matt Moore.

BTW, I'm also liking this new Panthers.com writer.

ditto on both accounts. btw...liking this guy much more than mason. never did care much for his writing.
What happened to Andrew Mason?
took a job back home in california somewhere.

totally PC

this mindset or approach will not change until after preseason game 2 or 3, period. don't expect it to.

you can expect many more PC articles such as this until preseason. that is when clausen will have a real shot at unseating moore. if it doesn't happen, then moore is the starter. if clausen lights it up with the second team, then takes snaps in preseason game 3 with the starters.... look out!

otherwise, any report you read, especially from panthers.com, between now and preseason will tout moore as the starter and leader of the team.

get over yourself, this article is nothing new or unexpected. :beatdeadhorse5:

w.e dude i bet you jezz your pants every time some one says something about clausen.. Moore is obviously the future he has great work ethic, hes already won games with us, plus hes been here 3 years so he has a good relationship with everybody, dont you realize half of football is in the mindset.. yeah Matt might not have the best throwing motion compared to jimmy but guess what Matt has earned the respect from every player that was on this team last year for what he did. so yeah you can rant all day about how clausen has the best mechanics, but Moore this is his team now and hes not going to let fine young male clausen take it from him. He will be our leader going into the season and he will play lights out. Watch and see.

    • I was here the past two weeks while you dominated every thread with constant complaining. I decided I wasn't going to try even posting with all that negative crap. All of you would  have found great amusement in trying to attack anyone with a more reasoned  positive approach. So I waited until now to come here to celebrate a win. Not to champion Bryce. It was only after you and others make negative comments despite the huge win that I commented. I am a Panther fan not a Bryce fan or Bruce hater. I will support him as long as he is a Panther. After that he is largely dead to me. But again won't go back and forth. I have nothing to defend and just going to enjoy the win.
    • Bar is on the floor boss.  And he remains way too inaccurate even in the most conservative asks of a gameplan.
    • Josh Allen is a playmaker and the closet thing to Cam Newton the league has seen.  So yeah, Bryce isn’t…..just like Josh Allen  Buffalo does not have better personnel than us across the board on offense.  Their leading WR last year was freaking Shakir followed by a disappointing rookie season by rookie WR.  We had the most expensive OL in the NFL last year.  A rock solid backfield.  With comparable WR talent.  If give them a clear TE edge but it’s a wash given out OL investment.  what they do have is a QB that makes everyone human in the field around him better.
