Superbowl in NY (actually NJ)

personally...I think if you are big enough to host an NFL team, you are big enough to host a Super Bowl! Same with the weather....Seattle can't host because they have an open air stadium and it might rain/snow? That's bullsh*t....it's an all weather game!!!!

The fact is that Football fans and SB fans differ greatly. Most SB fans expect to get there asses kissed the whole time they are there and if it rained it would mess up the most important thing about the SB. The halftime show cause everyone know its more important then the Football game.

lol at the Super Bowl being hosted in f*cking New Jersey IN FEBRUARY.

what a nightmare.

But....But... They need the money sooooo bad.

Now if you want a place that would fit into there rules and be awesome. Try Las Vegas.

They actually just finished a line going straight to the stadium.

Wow.... dont know how I missed this one. I grew up in NJ, went to college right in the area of the Meadowlands, and was even up there for the Panthers vs. Jets game last season and did not see any train station built or being built there. I sure could have use it for all the Sporting Events, Concerts, nights at the track spent there

This isnt about cold weather places getting a Superbowl.. this is about whatever NY wants, it gets

on ESPN they were saying NY needs the money it will bring and the attention to the new stadium

Since when does ANY city in the US not need an extra 500 million from tourist?? And since when did having a new stadium make you a sure thing to host a Superbowl.. Its all hype and lies b/c the media loves to bow down to the great "NY Media Market"

Charlotte will never host a Superbowl

Couldn't have said it better myself. The Superbowl should be in a venue to showcase the best product possible, and with the NFL being a finesse, pass-first league now, and probably more so in 2014, a cold and miserable stadium isn't the best place to do that.

They should have the Superbowl in Hawaii every year like the Pro Bowl. Makes the Pro Bowl a bigger event too if it's still played the week before, and would be pretty enticing for celebs and famous people to show up, which is really what the NFL wants anyway. Plus Hawaii in Feb >>>>>>>>>>>>>> NY in Feb.

screw the corporate dicks that get all the damn seats and the red carpet treatment! Football is an outdoor sport, played in the elements of the day! The sponsors are still gonna dishout the big bucks for the billions watching on TV! If people think that the NFL gives two shits about people in the stadium, then they need to review the tv contracts and the fact that a 30 second commercial costs millions and millions of dollars should be a pretty good indication of that! Those 70-80 thousand people in the seats are a pretty small group compared to the millions and millions at home/bars. The Superbowl could be played in Iceland and the tv revenues will be there.

    • 100%. And these same people will claim you have an agenda. You can't have it every way. We had the lowest rated defense in the league last year. Statistically the worst ever. By PFF grades (for whatever that's worth- but they are readily accepted, used, and conveyed by most "reputable" sources), the defense was the worst ever. Not only that, PFF rated our receiving corp the worst in football last season. The absolute worst... out of 32 teams. Which is why regardless of the lip service Canales and Morgan paid to the current guys, they knew it would be criminal not to give Bryce more help. People fixating on team stats and not taking these things into context are stupid, plain and simple, and I'm for one thankful they're not running this team (or probably anything for that matter bc they obviously can't discern reality. Again, going back to the eyeball test these Narrative Nancies seem to hate so much, did they not see the windows Bryce was putting balls into? Have the generally not watched much NFL? Please, please show me the film where all these NFL QBs are making throws like this to this point Bryce was "below average" down the stretch compared to them. Bryce made more wow throws in that 3 game stretch of the Bucs, Chiefs, and Eagles than every other QB combined in all the years since since Cam got hurt I genuinely am baffled by people that can watch throws like that and act like it's nothing. I guarantee you Steve Spagnola, Todd Bowles, and and Vic Fangio didn't think it was nothing after watching the little guy torch them with players those teams would be embarrassed to trot out at the skill position players. The national media spent all year making excuses for Mahomes not having elite weapons when he had multiple 1st & 2nd round talents at the skill positions along with future HoFers in Kelce and Hopkins. Bryce wasn't throwing for 300 yards every week with David Moore and Adam Theilen in spite of jaw dropping throws and you want to say the guy played below average. For those people, again, we ain't watching the same sport. And the name calling doesn't change that... The vitriol and projection... it's off the effing charts with these people.
    • "Well you see if you remove this terrible game that terrible game this other terrible game and then focus on these games you'll see he's actually one of the better QB's in the league and he's actually as good as Jayden Daniels". My god this place is delusional. I love it.
