WTF Phillies?

Johnny Rockets

Philly has now been shutout in three straight games for the first time since 1983. It is the first time any team has been shutout for an entire three-game series since the Twins stymied the Royals in 2004.

What makes it so hard to believe is that this is a team with one of the best lineups in the game. Really pisses me off that this happened against the Mets of all teams. Interesting how this offensive slump started right after they got caught stealing signs in Colorado.......

It's quite disgusting....the Braves fans at my work are coming out of the woodwork to let me know that they are lurking right behind us.

Working on a trip to Philly for the July 4th weekend in Philly with some Braves fans that want to see Citizen's Bank Park. Braves vs. Phils start Monday the 5th.

Take care of them please. I've never been to CBP, but I've heard the stories. I've got to look out for my fellow Braves fans, don't want anyone to get vomited on.

And the Braves are just 1.5GB, just so you know. :)

    • No one way to do it, it does appear that with the bigger draft picks of the last 5 years…..majority haven’t steered clear of young QBs on the roster being their hopeful guy. Especially past their rookie seasons but even some the biggest ones have had it early.   As far as Andy Dalton, the two young guys he has “mentored”…..have had very rough NFL starts.  Which really ask the why the heck is Dalton here.   He doesn’t really check any box.  No young potential.  Can’t step in and win.  And his mentor track record with Fields and now Bryce is bad
    • I had thought the Panthers might let him play out his contract this year and hope he stays healthy. If not draft a left tackle and move Ekwonu to right tackle.
    • Frankly, if most teams in the NFL lose their starting QB for a significant amount of time, they're screwed. The fantasy is that one has a future Tony Romo or a Nick Foles that can carry a stacked team. The reality is that you might get roughly 3~5 games out of your backup before it all falls apart. Remember all of Peyton Manning's backups? Utterly terrible. Speaking of backup QB's, Raiders may need one. https://www.nfl.com/news/raiders-qb-aidan-o-connell-suffered-fractured-wrist-in-preseason-finale-expected-to-be-out-6-8-weeks
