Biggest choke in NASCAR ever?

No not even close.

See Jeff Gordon in the All-Star race where Ray didn't put enough fuel in his car to go the distance in the last segment.

Also see Mark Martin in the Busch race coming to pit road (while leading) a lap early because he thought the race was over.

Jeff Gordon's flop wasn't a points race.

Mark Martin's flop, though stupid, was a Busch race.

Ambrose was turning his car off when he had more than enough fuel to make it (plus some green-white checkers) to the end while heading uphill. And it cost his very first victory in Cup.

Marcos didn't do anything "wrong" and he still managed a good finish. He cut off his car, like I am sure other drivers were doing, and then his car wouldn't fire back up.

It was a strange mechanical failure.

Also, for what it is worth, I hear JJ has choked on JG quite a bit. Does that count for choking in NA$CAR?

If im not mistaken last year on the last turn of the final lap he jumped the curb and got loose and got passed and got 2nd. May not have been at the same track. I can't remember.

That was at Montreal in the Nationwide series I believe.

    • Let's pause a sec and rewind. The hype for Bryce Young before we drafted him was beyond anything I've seen in a long time. If you're trying to tell me now after all the hoopla about his ability to make those around him better and the comparisons to hall of fame players across different sports leagues that him taking the next step this year fully hinges on Adam Thielen then we're probably already doomed. Thielen is not going to keep any defenses up at night. He has good hands and very low YAC. We have 4 young WR's ahead of him with potential that need crucial development and we certainly need to find out what we have in them sooner rather than later because regardless of what transpires this season the QB room should undoubtedly be getting a hard reset. Those reps need to go to the young WR's regardless. Bryce needs to step up and take ownership of the relationship between himself and his young receivers. That's why we drafted him.
    • #Raiders WR wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has requested a trade, per a league source. NFL Network first to report   https://x.com/josinaanderson/status/1960060238213546417?s=46
